BYTECC BT-146 All-in-one Internal USB2.0 connector Card Reader w/ Floppy Drive

Pros: floppy drive seems to work.

Cons: Doesn't work most of the time on card reader. I would send it back but my time is valuable. I have learned not to buy any of their products again though. And I tested it on 3 different computers, so it is pretty certain, and a huge waste of time bothering with it.

Pros: Compact multi-card reader that includes micro SD slot too!

Cons: Floppy disk drive reported disk was write protected no matter what position the write protect slide was in. Drive door would not close completely either. My previous floppy card reader combo floppy drive failed too. It kept corrupting the disk file system. I have no use for this read only FDD! See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I requested an RMA, but let it expire when I realized I could get a USB slim floppy disk drive for $4 more than the return shipping would cost me. With minimal surgery I ended up with a USB multi-card reader USB floppy disk drive combo unit by removing the USB FDD from its external case and putting it in place of the old ribbon interfaced non-working FDD. Now I have the ultimate combo drive that no one seams to make yet for only $30 total!

Pros: Try to install the card reader screw holes does not match up with the holes of my case. Had to take the metal case off the card reader to fit it in the my case and the screw hole has no threads in it.

Cons: could not do anything with it but RMA back to the vendor

Pros: Floppy disk (requires ribbon cable to floppy controller on motherboard)
Media reader is USB

Cons: A little difficult to install into my case.

Pros: Card readers work well, and has a extra USB port all in a 3.5" drive. This unit would be good for a motherboard with floppy support.

Cons: The description made it seem that there was a USB Floppy drive on this unit. However it requires a floppy ribbon cable to work. I bought this for that specific purpose as the new motherboards don not have IDE or floppy support. I guess I should have looked at the feedback before ordering. I inserted a floppy into the drive also, only to find that it is so thin that the metal slide door was caught inside when trying to eject the diskette, had to wiggle it until it came free.

Pros: all in one... does everything.

Cons: STILL need a FDD cable for FDD to work.

Other Thoughts: I was under the impression from the description that the FDD would work being connected via internal USB. My motherboard does not have a FDD connection.

Not happy with that. Emailed NewEgg for return... no response after a week

Pros: It Reads All the cards I tested it with perfectly.
It Has An Extra USB which is nice.
Unlike other AiW Drives, this one will plug directly into the mobo usb slot.
It's Fast
It came with a PATA Cable.

Cons: The Constant Bright White LED.
The Floppy Drive is somewhat Faulty.
Driver Software is confusing.
The SD Card doesn't plug all the way in.
The Floppy Eject button can come off if pulled.

Other Thoughts: I tested this drive with 5 Windows Formated Floppy Drives. The First one worked, but the other 4 weren't read at all.

Pros: It does what its supposed to do.

Cons: About 10% of the time it simply does not post on the registry. A simple reboot and it's back.

Other Thoughts: If I had a slower computer I would buy a new one, but rebooting is quick and I really dont feel like taking my case apart again. Getting to the 3.5" bay in my Silverstone LC-20B is an afternoon project to say the least.

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: The floopy dosen't run from the USB port. a floppy port on mother board is required

Cons: Floppy drive worked once and then stopped working right out of box. I i disconnected cabe and reconnected, the floppy drive would work once and then stopped working. Newegg would not take back even though I only had for one day.
