4 out of 5 eggsReasonable Product

Pros: In descending order of awesomeness...

Works out of the box, no special software needed.
Enumerates as a standard USB MSD. (like a thumb drive)
Appears to genuinely read and write up to HC1 class.
Price was more than reasonable. $14 for me.
Has S/N, so you can check for counterfeits easy.
Works with Linux, and the Raspberry Pi + image loader.
reads all ~4 or so of my random brand cards, no problem.
Cards go in easy, but won't fall out when in your pocket.
Comes covered in plastic film, to prevent scratches.
Has a non-annoying, but perfectly visible activity LED.
Works with MicroSD in full size SD adapter and slot. (Duh.)
Hot swap able, no need to safely "synchronize" or "Eject"
Electronics don't jiggle and move around in the plastics.

Cons: In descending order of crappiness...

Can't load both slots at the same time. Fastest card shows up.
Awkward to use as USB thumb drive because cards stick out.
Bigger than needed IMHO. Plastics could be reduced a lot.
Cap is not tethered to the reader, it's bound to get lost.
Cap is offset, doesn't go on both ways, only the one way.
No caps or covers for slots, they easily get junk in them.
No cup holder, no radio, no leather interior, high APR.

Other Thoughts: Black plastic case, is actually translucent.
Plastic case doesn't come off very easily.
LED stays lit when inserted in USB.
Didn't test MMC or M2 cards, I don't have any.
My speed tests were with Windows file transfers.
Wish the MicroSD slot was in the end, not the side.
I only gave cons to be objective, it's a great card reader.
I actually *DO* know exactly what I'm doing. Not a nub.

I WON'T SHOW UP AS VERIFIED OWNER, A FRIENDS
ACCOUNT. BUT I CLEARLY OWN ONE OF THESE THINGS,
UNLESS YOU THINK I AM MAKING ALL THESE DETAILS UP?

Cheap but does what it's designed to do

4 out of 5 eggs
Sleek-looking, small & light, works with SD & SDHC which is what I bought it for. 2 year warranty (not that it's ...

Pleasantly Surprised

5 out of 5 eggs
Fast, compact, SDHC-compatible. Less bulky than most side-load readers - does not block ports on a USB hub.
