Could use a cap retention string. Other Thoughts: Write speeds average around 10MB/s. Read speeds averaged around 80MB/s. Performance falls off dramatically with small files 16KB or smaller. Techie Forever 3/9/2013 1:48:58 PM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 4/5Works well, case needs improvement Pros: Works well in Windows, Linux Mint and Ubuntu Linux. Compatible with USB 2 sockets, where it seems to be faster than older USB-2 flash drives. Haven't yet made a speed test. Cons: The case seriously needs 2 improvements: (1) The activity LED is way too small and is very dim except when viewed from the front while looking down at it from a 45 degree angle. If viewed at any other angle from the front, from directly above, or from the sides, it is just a tiny dim speck that really needs a magnifying glass to be seen in a normally lit computer room. (2) The hole at the end for attaching a neck lanyard is also too tiny, only 1.5 by 3 mm, too small to get a typical neck strap's hook through. Needs to be at least 3 x 3 mm. I am using it to transfer files from a USB 2.0 computer to a computer with 3.0 capabilities. So, I put the flash drive into the USB 2.0 drive and nothing happened. I learned, in an hour or two, by experimentation that I had to slowly push it in until the computer recognized it - it was quite possible to push it in too far. I transferred the files in a decent amount of time. Remembering the hours it took me trying to figure out what was going on with my USB 2.0, I decided to slowly put in the flash drive until I saw the light go on in the USB 3.0 port. Again, the computer failed to recognize the flash drive. After another hour or two trying to find out what the heck was going on with my port, I pushed the flash drive in a bit farther and found my problem fixed. Perhaps it's just my computers, but if you experience similar problems... don't be surprised. Download from 3.0 was fast. Did you find this review helpful?
