1 out of 5 eggsUSB 3.0 really?? Too slow

Pros: Slim
Large quantity of space

Cons: This thing is slow as heck. Copied over 2.05GB and took over 20 minutes. I think it is operating at USB 1 speed. I have it plugged into a brand new HP Folio SS USB port. Transfer rate of 5.71 MB/second

Other Thoughts: Great space, just dog slow.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Expensive

Pros: Reliable and has great brand softwares

Cons: Too large, too slow and too expensive for its specifications. Can be bought a much faster and smaller one for this price.

Other Thoughts: I have used many Transcend devices. SSD, Memory Stick and Flash Card. They are very very reliable. I have never had any damages and breaks. They are rocky. They run like workhorses. Their brand softwares are perfect. But they must be faster and cheaper and smaller. Although Transcennd is one of the biggest and best known brands for the memory they do not produce better devices. They can produce memory sticks as fast as 200 or 300 MB/s. There are so many samples on sale.

3 out of 5 eggsSometimes fast, sometimes not

Pros: At times it is very fast and it takes just one slot.

Cons: At times it basically stops and it is a little hard to keep the plug ejected when inserting it into the port.

Other Thoughts: Initial transfers are very fast but as they continue it basically stops. Transfers 100MB fast but then the 100MB takes forever, minutes in some cases. So for short files it is usually good but for longer transfers, such as folder synchs for traveling, it ends up being slower than a 2.0 drive.
