5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: It works, smaller than my old card reader, has micro and full size SD card slots and more reliable.

Cons: not free
does not make old cards faster
usb cover is probably easy to loose
i almost stuck my velcro tape on the clear protective cover (instead of the adapter) that prevents scratches cause i did not see it

Other Thoughts: It was able to write a large amount of data (2.6GB) to my G. Skill Class 6 card (FF-TSDG16GA-C6) in 3:37 minutes at 12MB/s
2600000000 bytes (2.6 GB) copied, 216.696 s, 12.0 MB/s
* that card is known to exceed it's specked performance
* that was done over USB2, but i don't have any cards that can run at >60MB/s
My old card reader was the cheapest (under $1) thing i could get that had a micro sd slot on it, it worked fine for viewing camera pics, but it was flaky when it came to loading sd cards from raspberry pi projects, so i had been using my laptop for that

This is my 1st piece of usb3 hardware (not counting my laptop and desktop's motherboard)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price, great product.

Pros: Small enough to keep in your wallet and cheap enough to make sure you still have money left in it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Does its job. Does it without spending a lot of money and taking up a lot of room. Would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsUnleash your SD card's speed!

Pros: Since class 10 SD cards are much faster than regular USB, this is way better than using a USB 2.0 card reader or plugging the camera directly into the computer. And it has both SD and Micro SD slots, so no adapters needed!

Cons: None that I can think of. The cap not being attached to the card reader doesn't bother me as all card readers I've owned were like that.

Other Thoughts: Great way to speed up your otherwise slow file transfer speeds after recording around 20GB of concert footage from a 1080p 60FPS camcorder, or just moving a few hundred pictures at once. And cheap too! If your computer has USB 3.0 or you added a PCIe card like I did, there's no reason not to own one! :)

5 out of 5 eggsBest Card Reader I've ever owned.

Pros: I've put so many cards through this thing and it's read them all at their maximum speed. I have yet to have a bottleneck with this reader. It's durable, small, fast, and I love it.

Cons: Doesn't read more flavors of cards? Who uses anything beyond SD and MicroSD at this point anyway?

Other Thoughts: Good job, Transcend. A+

5 out of 5 eggsGood Reader

Pros: USB 3.0
Most SD and MicroSD formats
Looks nice (piano or gloss black, clean rectangular shape)
Works like it should
Feels solid
Cap fits tight enough to not fall off, not so tight you can't get it off.

Cons: Its wider, so it will cover adjacent USB ports on many laptops, BUT I knew this going in, and it would be difficult to make a full size SD card reader that holds the card securely and wasn't an inch wide. No eggs off.

Other Thoughts: Yes. I bought it to offload digital pictures from my camera faster than the included USB 2.0 cord included with the cam, which it does flawlessly. Because of its size however and card slot locations, I wouldn't use it as an everyday flash drive.
