5 out of 5 eggsFast!!!

Pros: Fast! I average just over 40 Mb/s reads with HDTach. It holds almost as much data as a blank DVD. Install Vista/XP from the drive, much faster than a DVD/CD. Vista ReadyBoost detected it and it works. Much faster than my old 1GB flash drive. The activity LED is very subtle.

Cons: A little on the expensive side. If you aren't diligent with the where abouts of your cap you will loose it. Doesn't not have a lanyard. Did not come with a USB extension cable.

Other Thoughts: After reading reviews around the web this drive kept coming up as one of the faster drives tested. I didn't think I'd notice the speed bump from my old 1GB drive but I was wrong. The amount I use flash drives only time will tell if it will hold up.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks As Advertised

Pros: 4GB Capacity
Fast read/write times
Windows Vista Ready Boost capable
Durable case
Excellent value for price

Cons: Cap

Other Thoughts: I bought this soley for use with Windows Vista's Ready Boost. If buying a flash drive for that purpose, no need to look elsewhere. Good performance.

4 out of 5 eggsVista grabbed it in seconds

Pros: Fast speed. Vista worked fine

Cons: No strap or strap hole. It could get away from you if you're not careful. Also the cap doesn't attach anywhere else. something else to loose.

2 out of 5 eggsDied too soon

Pros: Reading and writing speed were good though they could have been faster.

Cons: Died after a couple of weeks, used maybe a dozen times.

Other Thoughts: On the third transfer of data between 2 PCs it just died. I'll try a Brand name next.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks really well

Pros: Dependable, affordable and works smoothly with ReadyBoost. I noticed a tremendous difference with my applications. ReadyBoost is best with a minimum of 2GB and supposedly will not work with or not make a difference with anything larger than 4GB ( I am quoting that from the MS website).

Cons: None - A-Data makes a great product without charging a fortune.

Other Thoughts: If you do not switch between or use a wide variety of applications each day, you will not get much of a benefit. Business/working types will definitely like it. Those with older, slower equipment will definitely WANT to setup READYBOOST!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Good flash drive. Copies files fast. Vista recognizes it instantly and asks if you want to use it as extra system memory.

Cons: None really. Although it's set up to be used in ReadyBoost, I can't honestly tell if it's doing anything. Vista is EXTREMELY memory intensive, but I have 2 gb's of memory in my laptop right now, and it usually hovers at around 822 mb's of memory usage to 1100 mb's of memory usage. I guess I just don't know if I've benefited at all.

Other Thoughts: Like another reviewer said, I've had horrible luck with flash drives. This is the 1st one that actually works as it's supposed to and doesn't corrupt all the data. For that alone it's worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsReadyBoost!

Pros: Very fast for a flash drive, high storage capacity, and works perfect with ReadyBoost.

Cons: The activity indicator led can hardly be seen when it works, but that's not really a con.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome - ReadyBoost certified.

Pros: twice as fast as ReadyBoost requirements (find ReadSpeedKBs and WriteSpeedKBs in the registry). This guy plugs into one of my rear USB ports and just works!

Cons: none - may loose the cap but I'll never take it out of my MB so I don't care.

Other Thoughts: This is the second A-Data PD7 flash-drive I own. PD7 is A-Data's ReadyBoost certified flash-drive, 200x and it fully meets its specs.

4 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: Recognized in Vista immediately
Came with an extension cable

Cons: The front cap doesn't fit back on the back of it when its plugged in. I'm sure this is going to get lost.
Don't know how much this ReadyBoost is benefiting me

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Flash Drive

Pros: Great flash drive. When I plugged it in, it automatically detected it and asked me if I wanted to use it as extra memory. Vista is EXTREMELY memory intensive, so this is a good way to help with all those memory requirements. Short of just installing more memory in your computer.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Haven't used it for files yet. I've had a lot of bad luck with flash drives and am hoping this one works.
