ADATA Nobility 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (Gray) Model AS805-16G-CGY

Pros: I love this drive. I've had it for over 2 years and it still works well. I have abused this drive more than I care to say. Among other things it has been through the wash, been dropped many, many times onto concrete, sat in my pocket with keys constantly, and most recently it spent almost 2 weeks outside in the woods when it fell out of my pocket while running.

Cons: The clip is not the strongest. I had the spring break after around 6-10 months. But that's not a big deal to me.

Other Thoughts: Some people have complained about data speeds. I haven't had a problem, but I also haven't run any tests to see how fast/slow it actually is.

If I ever need a new drive it will be this one (or another one like this with more storage).

Pros: -Made of Medal
-very durable (have had it on my key chain with my keys and still works after a year)
-At the time I bought it, it was very cheap compared to the ones you see in stores
-Not too small like some new sticks
-Use it on a daily basis and never had corrupt file errors

Cons: -Write speed is average compared to some hard drives I own, but the speed is fine for a flash drive.

Other Thoughts: If I ever get another flash it will probably we an ADATA, I would recommend this same model with more storage (like 64 gb)

Pros: Because of its metal design, it has a nice heavy feel. Great design with the clip and I've had fast transfer speeds. Makes for a great boot drive too.

Cons: Over time the USB part that flips out has loosened up so it now opens a little on it's own.

Other Thoughts: Take off of your keys before putting in the USB drive! This has caused extra stress and it has loosen up, but that was my own doing.
Overall, I'd buy again.

Pros: The physical design is great... it's basically the reason why I bought this drive. It's also quite physically sturdy.

Cons: The read/write speeds of the drive are quite slow.

In about a year and a half the drive became completely unreadable two different times, requiring multiple full formats each time to become functional again. I was sure to always eject the drive properly.

I had to ship the drive back for RMA at my own expense... who knows how the replacement will be.

Pros: Durable, has good weight to it. Its pretty fast too

Other Thoughts: The metal is pretty heavy. It is durable. I can tell its in my pocket during the day.

Pros: High capacity, durable, chromed finish, carbine style. Most importantly, its one piece instead of the other thumbdrives that have a separate piece to protect the connectors. Highly recommended.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy based on brands, buy based on specs.

Pros: Sturdy case.

Cons: The drive is very slow and data transfer rates are no where close to the ratings on the spec sheet. If you enjoy spending your life watching a blue bar go across the screen while moving data this drive is for you. My first drive died after three month and all data was lost. Adata replaced the drive with a new one which has now died at about three months of use and again all my personal data has been lost. I have sent further requests to Adata to replace the second drive (still within the warranty) but repeated attempts have failed to get any response from them.

Other Thoughts: If you own one of these back up you data. A rating of zero is not allowed.

Cons: Absolutely DEAD AS A BRICK. Not even recognized as a USB device by *five* different, modern systems - zero response.

Cons: the transfer rates seem slow. though this is just becuase i am transfering MUCH more data onto the drive so it just takes longer even at the same speeds.

Other Thoughts: its great becuase i tend to hit my drive when i have them pluged into the front of my computer but becuase these acurtally fold after you put them in they dont stick out very much at all. this really helps when it comes to my laptop becuase it doesnt get cought up on anything.

Pros: The best part about this drive is that it can be used as a bottle opener and still function perfectly (no joke, not even a scratch). Oh, and it's a pretty high capacity drive for pretty cheap.

Cons: Haven't had it long enough to see whether it conks out or not. Much heavier than other drives (made of metal, duh).

Other Thoughts: If it lasts another few months, then it'll be the most solid drive I've owned yet.
