5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: First, it’s a flash drive that does everything Adata states it will. I own three of various sizes, 16, 32, and 64. As for speed, it varies from one PC to another. Who made the MB / drivers seems the variable. It’s faster on my laptop with an i5, 8 GB than my desktop with a six core AMD FX-6350 with 16 GB. So whatever the issue is, it’s not the thumb drive. If I wait a few more second between systems, who really cares. My desktop has an Adata SSD, so go figure. It’s rugged, works every time. What more can I ask for. And who hangs off a key chain? Get a lanyard if that’s so critical.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Size, read speed seems to be a little higher than advertised (probably would suffer on fragmented files pretty bad I imagine). Feels much more solid than my stick from another 3 letter company that feels like the guts are about to come out of the casing.

Cons: No light and the cap.

Other Thoughts: Like others have said, the absence of an activity led is pretty shocking (to me at least) and the cap is just about a lost cause. It is solid though, and my read speeds appear to be in the 70-80mb range. I was expecting faster write speeds, but that was because I didn't read the description very well and went autopilot on finding a usb3 stick.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Speeds, Design Needs Modding

Pros: Speeds are as advertised. Best Priced USB 3.0 Drive on the market as of review date.
Aluminum body=durable. I have it on a lanyard attached to a keychain and it's taken a beating. The paint has been mostly scraped off and there are a few dings but the body has done a good job protecting the drive.

Cons: There are going to be design shortcuts when pricing something this low and the most obvious are the lanyard loop and the cap. The lanyard loop is very small and gets covered when the cap is placed on the back. This effectively nullifies either the cap storage location or the possibility of using a lanyard. This is a bad decision to have to make.
-1 egg for that.

The cap is plastic and snaps onto plastic. I'm not sure how many on/off cycles that cap is rated for before it's ground down to and unusable state.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product at the "South American Rainforest" because their prices are many times the same and their return policy for defective products is better than Newegg's.

I worked around the cap problem by drilling a small hole in the side of the cap. I put a knot on one side of the cord, threaded it through the hole in the cap and tied the other end to the lanyard loop. It was a bit tricky to thread a lanyard cord through the small loop as well as the cord for the cap.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: I loved it. Fast, durable, surface doesn't scratch like I thought it would.

Cons: People are complaining about the cap not attaching to the end of it for safe keeping, I don't really care since it's just a cap.

3 out of 5 eggsOk, sub speed for USB 3, but better than 2.0!

Pros: It's faster than USB2.0,
It's just a tad more expensive than USB 2.0, but the speed improvements are well worth the price if you have USB 3.0 connector.

Cons: Is not as fast as a USB3.0 connection would allow.

Other Thoughts: It's well worth the price. Good as a cheap OS drive for small devices like home theater computers, or basic home network servers or bittorrent clients.

It also is a nice drive for larger files.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Flash Drive

Pros: Transfer rates as advertised or higher. Very cool sleek design.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I own the S102 in both 16GB and 32GB capacities and have been VERY impressed.

The only concern I have had is, after many months of use, my first one's key ring slot broke. Fortunately it was in my pocket at the time and the drive wasn't lost. The key ring slot is also TINY and angled, making it very hard to insert even a tiny key ring into.

I used a very small drill bit to make a new hole through the center on the end, and it has held up flawlessly. Upon receiving my 32GB version, I immediately made the same mod.

The drives are so fast and reliable, I don't feel this is worth taking even one egg off for.

3 out of 5 eggsFlash Drive-Cool!

Pros: Look nice metal case, fast to move file out form the drive to cpu, kinda slow.

Cons: No LED light and no ring holder. There is a slot to put a ring holder but you need a small ring to attached.

Other Thoughts: Large capacity and I like the housing it self.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect USB 3 Flash Drives

Pros: Drives worked perfectly. Used the drives to store AVI movies and played them on my laptop on plane trips for the kids. Carrying around DVD's for the kids is hard enough. Using these small, fast drives made things extremely convenient.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsA total train wreck !!

Pros: Very nice case

Cons: Extremely slow both reading and writing (approx 4 MB/sec)

Not recognized as USB 2 compliant by some devices I use

Other Thoughts: Like several others here, I experienced incredibly slow reads and writes. The brand-new drive when inserted into my USB 3 port(s) reported chkdsk errors. The USB 3 speeds were about 4 MB/sec rather than the claimed, much higher numbers. When used with USB 2 ports on this and other computers, the speeds never got above 6 MB/sec. My other USB 3 disks and thumb drives are way, way faster.

I copied over a bunch of mp3s (taking 2 hours!) and tried to plug this aData drive into my Logitech music server as well as my car USB 2 port. Neither one would even see the drive whatsoever. Any other thumb drives I have here (at least 5 others) show up just fine.

I contacted aData and asked for their help and low level re-format software. I wrote them twice. They never replied!!!!!!

Thank goodness that Newegg was the place I purchased this. They speedily issued an RMA for a total refund. First time I ever needed to return an item, but Newegg is just "EGGSELENT" in all respects.

Never again
