2 out of 5 eggsNot worth buying....plain and simple

Pros: It seems to work. No major read errors as of yet.

Cons: At no time does the speed of writing to the microSD card pass 6.0MB/sec. Only with copying singularly-large files over to it does it get nearly to 6.0MB/sec, but levels at 2.9MB-3.2MB/sec when copying several things back and forth. Thus, sequential or random, I am getting very bad speeds on the one I received.

Even compared to another I received from here the very same day that is also an 8GB Class 10 SD Card, (just not this brand, and wasn't a microSD, but a normal SD), it works far faster than this. Erasing speeds (ie, overwriting it all with random 0s/random numbers greatly contrasted between the two (as in 2 minutes for the other card and 10 minutes here).

Other Thoughts: So if you even remotely expect 10MB/sec as an approximate minimum for sequential writing onto the card, good luck. Again, at <6MB/sec for me, I wasn't even close. Definitely does not make me a happy camper. Even trying it on numerous settings, formats, types of files, and etc., at no time does it pass that high.

Overall, I was fooled by the majority of other people here who gave favorable reviews for this item. Don't be fooled like I was. Try another brand.

4 out of 5 eggsGood streamer, meh app storage

Pros: Killer streaming (sequential performance), decent random read performance

Sequential Read : 23.600 MB/s
Sequential Write : 17.316 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 22.659 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 3.553 MB/s [ 867.4 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 3.955 MB/s [ 965.5 IOPS]

Cons: Pathetic random write performance (yeah, all class 10 cards stink here, put this one is pretty pathetic)

Random Write 512KB : 1.051 MB/s
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.010 MB/s [ 2.4 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.009 MB/s [ 2.3 IOPS]

Other Thoughts: Excellent card if you're optimizing big copies (esp video). May want to consider a lower class card if you're mostly storing apps or app data

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: Great value for the price, haven't given me any problems. Works as expected. Bought for use with cell phone, and noticed faster performance over previous SD card.

Cons: None. Haven't had any problems.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for use with my cellphone, then received a surprise phone upgrade for my birthday. Now I gotta find my old phone and grab this card.

5 out of 5 eggsEasiest phone upgrade

Pros: This is an easy way to upgrade the speed on your phone without spending alot of money. Excellent bang for your buck. The storage cards that come with phones are generally slower, because they cost less for the cell phone companies to include with your phone. Pages all snap quicker with this card installed. Scrolling screen to screen etc. Games are faster too. A-data is a brand I've used for a while. No problems. Lifetime warranty. Back up your data anyway, and sleep better. Class 10 speeds are a reality with this card, not just hype.

Cons: UPS phantom "tried to deliver", but said I wasn't home. I was home. Twice. No ring, no knock, right address. Never seen any other shipping company do this, ever. The ol UPS "post a delivery notice and run". Usually UPS is very quick, but sometimes this strangeness.

Other Thoughts: Turn on "mass storage mode" or similar on your phone, plug it into a computer, copy and paste all your old files to a folder. Turn off the phone, install the new fast storage card, power up, and then copy all your files from the folder to your new card. Voila. You've just made your phone quicker, and probably given it a good deal more storage to boot. Nice job.

4 out of 5 eggsGood after format

Pros: Does what it says

Cons: 1 card was slow until reformatted

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these, put them in 2 identical phones, one worked excellent, one was about 1/3 the speed. I used the format tool mentioned in other posts, and now the slower card is working with no problems.

Applications seem to open much faster, well worth the upgrade.

My informal tests vs my old 2gb card in a Samsung sidekick 4G:
2gb read - 4.2mb
New 8gb read - 18mb

2gb card write - 2.3mb
New 8gb write - 14.2

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value!

Pros: Excellent card for the money! Works great in my Samsung Galaxy Prevail phone. All moveable android apps have been moved to the card, and there are no issues or crashes or slowdowns caused by it.

Cons: Should have bought 2!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Quality

Pros: Class 10 = Fast. Really fast. This card was installed into my Nokia E73 and the access times for anything going to or coming from the card reduced by half. And when you have 6GB of music it makes a real impact

Cons: None.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Class 10 speed

Pros: It's a 8gb card.

Cons: I am not satisfied with the transfer speed. For a class 10 it should get at least 10mb/sec but I'm only getting about 4mb/sec for sequential files.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize for the difficulties you had with our product. For transfer rate accuracy we recommend running low level formatting tool from the SD association, followed by running benchmark software such as ATTO. Also, please keep in mind that different devices might limit down the performance of the card due to compatibility differences. Please contact our customer service department directly for technical support or replacement if the problems cannot be resolved;
