To complement the mobile video life brought about by smartphones, ADATA offers an ultra-compact card reader to aid in the transfer of microSD/microSDHC memory card data at high speed. The microReader Ver.3 has a compact and lightweight body, with a built-in USB connector. Data was lost on card and card is no longer recognized in the phone it was in, or using the USB adapter that came with the card. Manufacturer Response: Dear Customer, We are sorry that you had difficulties with our product. To attempt to recover your data you can use a freeware such as PhtoRec. If you like to reset the card we recommend running the low level formatting tool from the SD association (link below), this will repair the card to factory condition. Cons: The write speeds on this card are not class 4, more along the lines of class 2. I ordered this to replace my wifes 16gig in her phone as she was just about of of space, had her current cards contents backed to my pc waiting on the card to arrive...It did, transferring over and getting writes speeds of 2.44MB/sec. That card reader is clever as heck. I was amazed when I realized the SD card went in right above the pins. Cons: The only bad thing I've run into with this USB reader is the fact that you sort of have to force it into a USB slot. It might just be mine or it might just be my USB ports, either way I always feel like I'm about to break it because it just doesn't fit quite right in the USB port. Capable of running Windows To Go with a WEI of 4.3. Great for a SMALL (physically) 32 GB usb drive. Cons: I would prefer higher data transfer speeds, but hey, can't have everything. Other Thoughts: The card is easy to put in to and take out of the reader. I wasn't really expecting Windows To Go to work on it, but it does. Windows 8 on a microSD card. Yay! The phone stops recognizing the data on the card. I've had to reboot the phone 5 times in two weeks. Each time, the phone didn't see the data on the card, the phone reboot resolved. This is really annoying. I'll probably look for another, more reliable card for my phone, and use this chrappy card as a thumb drive. Not what I wanted and a waste of money. I also found the included card reader to not only be nice and small (incredibly small) but easy to operate and haven't run into any problems ejecting the card from the reader. Cons: Crapped out after three months, doesn't work. Useless. Other Thoughts: I got this card a few months ago, maybe 3 and it's already crapped out and doesn't work. Can't format it, it's useless. 50 bucks wasted. Wouldn't buy again. Let's see if ADATA's customer service will do anything about this...
