ADATA S510 Series AS510S3-120GM-C 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: I have one of these as my boot drive for my Win 7 system and using it for nearly 1.5 years. Now I just got another one for my new Mac mini as a boot drive. I love it! This is fast! Great drive!

Cons: none

Pros: Purchased one year ago, holds my OS and computer is always on. No problems Ubuntu boots in under 10 seconds

Cons: none,just make sure your system is right,I blamed the drive when really it was my bios.

Other Thoughts: Lots of people including my self are to eager to blame a new part as being bad instead of the system as a whole and hoe each component interacts.I have only bought ADATA's SSD's since then and never a problem I couldnt resolve by total system adjustments.The ADATA SSD always worked,but was allways blamed as the culprit until the real problem was found.I will only buy ADATA from now on,Its too bad others dont have the skill to realize this.could be the problem with most negative SSD reviews.

Pros: I really like this SSD, great performance. I bought one back on 7/25, was initially for a system upgrade on someone else's computer. Due to that person's older motherboard and lack of AHCI support, I ended up having to give him my two 60 GB Force 3's and stripe them for AHCI functionality, then used this in my machine as a single drive instead. I couldn't tell the difference. Liked it so much I bought 2 more on 9/14.

Cons: Zilch.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have the latest firmware update, i had to update all three of mine. ADATA offers a utility to download along with the firmware image file, the utility will detect the drive and tell you what firmware version is currently installed, then gives you the option to update to the image file you downloaded if necessary. Very easy to do even for those that aren't tech saavy.

Other Thoughts: read my previous post,still not one single BSOD since I realized it was the bios and not the drive.Also updated to a FX-4170 cpu ,system screams now,loving every second of my PC time. other thoughts,I am a computer builder,repair technician that owns my own computer business,I have spent over $10,000.00 over the years from newegg.I will not ever spend one penny anywhere else.newegg is the best.

Pros: Absolutely None.

Cons: This is the second time that I have reviewed this drive as I had returned it previously. The second drive is just as much a piece of junk as the first one. They only lasted about a week or less. Only option is a replacement since I cannot get a refund (who knows why this is). Don't really want a replacement as I don't need or want another piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: Will never, ever buy a product from A-Data again.

Pros: None

Cons: This drive only lasted about 2 weeks before it quit working. The drive just stopped working one day while booting up my computer. The drive was no longer recognized by the BIOS, even. I had even updated the firmware to the latest version.

Other Thoughts: Thankfully Newegg was quick to provide and RMA. Will see what happens when the replacement drive comes in. Newegg still rocks on their deals and customer service.

Pros: drive works great,read my previous reviews

Cons: my lack of patience and posting negative reviews when it was something else.

Other Thoughts: since 6-18 no more bsod's.NONE!!!!!! it was the bios.If you are having problems roll back your bios one step,try it,roll back again and see.I dont know what the bios update made worse but it did in my case.I hope this helps anyone with bsod's thinking its the SSD when it may not really be.

Pros: This SSD is good so far, and it was cheap

Pros: Drive is cheap, and stable. Which is always good. The bracket was nice for use in the desktop I built. Overall, the thing is worth the money.(I got it for like 100 bucks)

Cons: The only con I could say, is that the drive didn't perform at the listed 500ish MB/s
Only maxxed out at around 350, so thats slightly disappointing, my Force GT hits 500+.
But like I said, the price is right on this drive.

Other Thoughts: Worth the price, can't beat it.
