5 out of 5 eggsAbout 50 of these ordered thus far and we are getting more

Pros: High Speed. Good price compared to others

Cons: None really. Would certainly like them to be cheaper still.

Other Thoughts: We are an IT firm and have been selling these in our standard builds for a few months now. Probably got ~50 or so out in machines at this point. Prior to this we used a 60GB Mushkin drive that had about a 2% DOA rate and 4% failure rate within a year. So far I don't think that we have had a single DOA (statistically we should have had one) and we have not had a failed drive yet, although not enough time has passed. For what it's worth, Mushkin RMA was great to work with and sent us brand new drives.

1 out of 5 eggsIt Died

Pros: Very Fast, taught me the wonders of SSD's

Cons: Firmware Upgrades are a joke, process seems simple enough but nothing really happens.
It Died, loading new Operating System on it, then it died.
BIOS will not pick it up, tried it on another computer.....yep its dead.

Other Thoughts: I have very good things to say about SSD's, however I'm sticking with Mechanical Drives until a better manufacturer releases a Larger Capacity SSD at affordable prices, and no 300 for an SSD is not affordable for the masses.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade to office machines

Pros: Speed, cost

Cons: cost per GB is still higher then I like

Other Thoughts: This is a great upgrade to any machine running on a 5400/7200 RPM machine. OS loads in about 6 seconds ready to use. Most apps open instantly. My clients love the speed increase. Combine with a cheap mobo/cpu and you have a really good business machine on the cheap. Ghost did not have a problem with it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive, if a little small

Pros: I bought this drive as a boot drive and it does the job perfectly. I am coming from a laptop with a hybrid HDD/SSD, and this blows it out of the park. Install was flawless and it took the OS without a problem. For it to go from cold to fully running is about 15 seconds, and that's not an exaggeration. Just make sure your tower can support a 2.5" drive, or else buy a mount for your hard drive bay.

Cons: This was my first time running a separate drive for my OS vs, having everything run off of the C drive. As such, I wasn't sure how much space I would need and tried to save a few bucks by going smaller. Keep in mind that you are going to need space for all your system files and the other little things that automatically place themselves in the C drive. After everything was said and done, I only had about 12 Gb or so free. Seeing as I want this to be the drive I want to use for awhile, I opted to purchase a larger drive, going with a 240Gb SSD

Other Thoughts: Overall, a great drive, just a little smaller than I needed it. Not going to downvote it for that though, because that is not the fault of the drive. If you know that 60Gb is going to be enough for you, then absolutely buy this drive, it's a fantastic product and a great deal.

5 out of 5 eggsQuick little SSD

Pros: Great for appliance build with 6GB SATA and Sandforce controller. Really fast throughput when used for database rebuilds.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I like these SSDs esp. when they are on sale. Go Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsawesome little drive

Pros: works great
fast speeds
easily configurable

Cons: read other thoughts

Other Thoughts: ok for the people that are getting BSOD its because of a driver related issue. after that it works perfectly. (also make sure ur bios aren't running hard drives in IDE mode) very happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works well. No issues. Good value at $1/GB.

Cons: I had to break off two tiny little plastic tabs to get it to fit in my laptop (the old HDD's case ended short and the SATA pins stuck out so it wasn't a problem before).
This is a problem with the laptop though, not the SSD.

Other Thoughts: -GPT+grub2+arch linux installed on my laptop without any problems
-Using ext4 with discard and noatime options
-Using SATA 3GB/s, not 6GB/s
-Average read speed (hdparm -t) = 330MB/S - a lot better than the WD HDD I had before (which clocked in around 80MB/s).
