Pros: Read and Write speeds perform as advertised.
Mounting brackets and screws provided.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This drive is not a known or name brand, however it has performed as well as a name brand (like Samsung).

Under ATTO benchmark, read and write speeds are ~500 MB/s as advertised.

Compared to my standard 7,200 RPM SATA II hard drive...

Rendering a 3 minute video @ 1920x1080 @ 29.97 frames per second, 20m bps video bit rate, and 128k audio bit rate:

4 minutes 12 seconds for the SSD
6 minutes 28 seconds for the HDD

On the HDD, it takes 25 seconds to install iTunes. On my SSD, it took 14 seconds. It also opens a roughly 3-5 seconds faster on the SSD.

Windows 8 Boots from the solid state drive in ~35 seconds from off (25 seconds from off to login screen, and ~10 from login screen to finish). My hard drive boots in ~118 seconds (48 seconds from off to login screen, and ~70 seconds from login screen to finish). Now that is considering POST. For my PC, it takes 13-15 seconds to POST (so 21 seconds for the solid state drive, and 104 seconds for the hard drive). I say approximately for the "login screen to finish" because it is a bit difficult to determine when exactly the PC has finished loading everything (after getting to the desktop). Also, despite the solid state drive loading for another 10 seconds after login, you would never notice it was actually doing anything. My PC is ready to use the moment I see my desktop. With my hard drive, I really can't do anything for about 60-70 seconds after I see my desktop because it is still loading (slow, freezing up, etc). I also should note both tests were done with just Avast and Catalyst Control Center as start up applications (the

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Worked right out of the box. Installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on it which used about 30GB. I only plan on it being used as a boot and utility drive for which it is the perfect size.

Comes with a bracket and screws to adapt it to fit into a normal 3.5" HDD bay. It also came with double sided adhesive tape fitted to the shape of the drive in case you just want to stick it somewhere. I did not need to use either of these as my case had an SSD plate to screw it on to.

6GB/s & TRIM support, faster read/write speed than similarly priced SSDs.

Cons: Small storage space if you consider that a con for these? Was reported as 59.9 GB.

Doesn't come with a case badge/sticker. =(

Other Thoughts: Make sure you set this to use AHCI in the BIOS when you install it.

Used this in a build for a basic (maybe I went a little overboard), modern PC for my non-gaming mother. Boots in about 10 seconds. ADATA makes pretty good RAM and so far this has lived up to their reputation.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid product

Pros: Fast shipping, ordered on a Wednesday and got it installed on Friday. Painless transition, I have a 32gb Adata SSD but it was on the cusp of being 250mb from full so this with the 64gb is a perfect fit for my core files and OS, plenty of space and it's fast and reliable. Cloning was as easy as 1-2-3, use Acronis for a smooth transition.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Adata makes great reliable and reasonably priced products.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredibly fast

Pros: This drive is FAST. Installing windows 8 couldn't have taken longer than 5 minutes. It boots faster than anything I've ever owned.

Cons: I knew what I was getting into, but the drive is small. Installed windows 8 and Civ 5 on the drive and it is already effectively full. Not removing a star, because again, I knew what I was getting into.

Other Thoughts: Windows 8 is huge. I'm thinking about going back to windows 7 because of the amount of space it takes up. However, windows 8 does boot noticeably faster. I guess I just have to get another one of these.

5 out of 5 eggsSmokin' fast!

Pros: This SSD drive is fast and smooth. We installed it in a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. It made an older laptop run like a dream. Boots up in 15 seconds since we upgraded. The laptop only has an intel Core 2 Duo 1.5Ghz and 4 Gigs of RAM and it is very fast with the SSD drive upgrade. An older laptop is a whole different animal with SSD technology. It's like having a brand new laptop!

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: SSD drives can be hard to configure. Make sure that the boot partition is setup prior to loading Windows by using a boot CD like Hiran's Boot Disk. Or you can set up the partitions with a Linux DVD or CD.

4 out of 5 eggsWorking well in Win7 x64 HTPC

Pros: Fast, quiet, low power usage. After dropping cable and going to OTA reception I built an HTPC with spare parts including an old WD 320GB hard drive for the OS. Used the 64GB ADATA SSD to replace the WD for quieter operation and lower power usage. Plus its much faster. Win7 x64 W.E.I. went from 5.9 to 7.3 for primary hard drive. The drive I received had firmware 5.0.5c which I think is the latest at the time of this review.

In the past I've bought ADATA desktop memory which I found to be very reliable and compatible. Of course, that doesn't really tell you anything about their SSDs. But ADATA is a company whose products I've used before and been satisfied with.

These drives are built in Taiwan where ADATA is located and not in China.

Cons: No included utilities. Some SSD brands include utilities with the drive. To check the health, update firmware, change the provisioning, etc. With ADATA you can get the Acronis True Image software if you jump thru the right hoops. Plus their website is not that helpful. Some SSD brands supply a bootable ISO image with the latest firmware. Just burn it to a CD, stick it in the PC, reboot and the firmware update is done. Quick, simple, foolproof!

Other Thoughts: Longevity of SSDs is still questionable. The NAND memory cells will only support a finite number of writes. How many years will they last? 3-5? More? Less? At this point we don't really know.

64GB was the perfect size for an HTPC running Windows 7 x64 Media Center and not much else. But it isn't the best value right now unless you get it on sale cheap. The 120-128GB drives are only about 30-40 dollars more for twice the capacity.

4 out of 5 eggsit is good for the price

Pros: Good price, have had this now for about 3 months and i am happy with it, has ok read and write times

Cons: on the first install of windows 7 32 it blue screened on me i thought it was dead took it out of the unit i was working n and put in my machine . it read the drive so i formatted it and reinstalled windows worked fine. now from time to time i am getting windows did not shut down fully when i watched it and know it shut down. more of a nuisance then anything

Other Thoughts: just in the last few months SSD's have come down in price i would buy a bigger and faster drive
