ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-128GM-C 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: -Fast, my windows boots in 12 seconds and awakes from sleep, literally, instantly.
-Durable! I opened upside down accidentally and it fell about 5 feet to the floor and it still works like a charm.
-Extra storage, RAISE is turned off, unlike in other Sandforce controlled drives, which gives you quite a bit of extra usable space.

Cons: -Packaging, poor design in that if you open it the wrong way your drive will fall out.

Pros: I was skeptical about how fast these SSD really are at first. 100% satisfied. my computer boots in seconds, and once i see my desktop I can load and application immediately. I have never seen Photoshop load so fast.

If you want to see a dramatic difference in performance get a SSD

Cons: none so far

my old GTX 260.... I know huge bottle neck but i only pay WOW

Pros: Really was looking forward to getting this drive.

Cons: Cloned my HD onto Adata SSD. Worked great....for 4 days. Drive began to lock up and not functional until reboot. Wiped drive and installed new Win7 OS. Worked fine for a day and then same thing occurred. Removed drive. Returned to NewEgg immediately (only had 7 days). NewEgg returned to me because I had sent in rebate on day 3. Well, decided it would make an ok external drive only to discover it 'lost' formatting and all previous data copied to it. Bad! Bad! Bad! Never had a problem with my Samsung SSD. My tech knowledge is extremely high and I will NOT purchase another Adata SSD.

Pros: Fast.

Cons: None yet. curious as to reliability but only time will tell.

Pros: had two of these running in raid zero now for 9 months. No problems whatsoever. Have seen a slight drop in atto bench 32 as far as read/write speeds. read went from 1200 down to 1050 and write went from 1150 down to 1050. Don't know if this is normal or not. Fresh install of windows 7

Cons: see above.

Other Thoughts: The performance drop I noted above doesn't seem enough to worry about. Will continue to monitor to see if the rate of decline continues. I sure it will. Longevity of these drives or all ssd's is somewhat of a mystery, with many variable determining this.

Pros: Fast when new

Cons: Failing after 5 months
Loud beeping sound on startup
Random loud beeps through use
Computer freezes and BSOD's
Slowed down

Other Thoughts: When I picked this thing up I was in love with it! Worked great started up in <20 seconds with windows 7. Started beeping at around 2 months and just ignored it and continued to use it. 5 months in and it's starting to fail, beeping loudly very often and I'm unimpressed with it's reliability.

Pros: Price.

Cons: DOA.

Other Thoughts: I ordered, received, installed and delivered a computer with the SX900-256gb version of this drive the previous week, no problem. The price was good and my experience with Adata USB3 16gb and 64gb sticks has been good enough I wanted to try their other devices. Unfortunately the 128gb SSD I received and installed yesterday was DOA. I know it can happen, but I've ordered almost two dozen SSD drives (Crucial, Corsair, Patriot (once I think) and Intel) and haven't had a single DOA unit. 1 out of 2 Adata units being DOA doesn't instill a warm-fuzzy feeling.

Pros: This is my first ADATA product and I'm very satisfied! Super fast!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Only one minor problem. While installing Win7 it froze abit during the "completing installation" stage. I restarted my pc and reinstalled, this time unplugging all USB's while it restarted. I'm sure this is no problem with the drive, just a little tip if anyone runs into the same issue.

Pros: Looks pretty. I'm sure others work.

Cons: Plugged it in with sata cord, got computer assembled, first windows 7 installation failed on step 3. Tried rebooting computer/formatting the drive to retry install, got error 0x80070057 "Failed to format the selected partition." Tried deleting partition, got error 0x8007045d "Failed to delete the selected partition." Tried refreshing the list of available drives to install Windows, no partition or drive is available. Clearly it's a bad drive.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had gone with a different brand. Don't make my mistake.

Pros: 128 gigs for $80. Great performance. With a separate RAID0 array, my client's machine boots and is fully loaded within 30 seconds. 3.5" Adapter included is metal and blue anodyzed. Has latest bios already installed.

Cons: My own machine has a Samsung 830 in it, and my seat of the pants impression is the it the Samsung is faster.

Other Thoughts: For the price, hard to beat.
