ADATA Premier Pro SP900 ASP900S3-256GM-C 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast and seems reliable so far (I bought mine in November 2012)

Cons: Mine came with the outdated 5.0.2a firmware that has known problems.
When I tried to update to 5.0.7a (the latest on ADATA's website), their "Field Updater" completely froze my computer. I've just now contacted ADATA technical support about this.

Pros: Fast, reliable, been using it as my OS primary drive 9 months my Asus MB had no problems recognizing the drive. the windows 7 install was fast 10-15 min. boot time 15 sec ready to use. the more u run in the background the slower the boot but you would have to have a lot running to get it to slow down much.

Cons: to small

Other Thoughts: great drive will be buying another soon

Pros: Works 6 months still after a few months with the old 5.0.2a firmware. (Your mileage may vary)

Also Yay! New Firmware!

Cons: took a while to get the new firmware! and the download site was acting up!

Other Thoughts: Adata skipped over 5.0.4 firmware and went straight to 5.0.7. I really wanted though for 5.0.4 early because Trim was needed badly as I noticed things slowed down a bit since I got this drive last year. Though the 5.0.7 firmware apparently fixed a problem that could of plagued drives with older firmware much worse than a simple trim issue.

Cons: ===============
- Unfortunately died after 5 months

Other Thoughts: Was good while it lasted. Other than reliability issues, this SSD provides excellent capacity and speed for the price. If it hadn't failed, this SSD would have been a perfect alternative to the Intel SSDs (and received five eggs).

Pros: great ssd for the price after formating i had 238gig of free space

Cons: The outer casing is made from an Altoids tin it seems, not as nice as other SSD but it was cheap per gig

Pros: Incredibly fast. Very affordable!

Cons: After a week the computer BSOD'd and would not recognize the drive, until it died altogether. I was only able to grab data off in 200-2000 MB increments until it died altogether and wasn't recognizable by the BIOS of this desktop, or any other desktop.

Other Thoughts: I never heard of ADATA before. I noticed it was cheap. For once in my computer building life I chose a component based on sorting by lowest price, and I got what I paid for.

Pros: None

Cons: Worked for less then 10 minutes. Contacted ADATA and was told to RMA it to Newegg. Had to wait 24 hours for them to do nothing. Because it was bought through my work, I now need to get my purchasing department involved.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Drive arrived and installed easily, had no issues when loading the OS onto the drive, but after loading program software to the drive it became extremely un-stable. Chkdsk showed significant number of bad sectors. Would NOT buy this drive again.

Pros: One of the fastest drives in it's price range I've found.
Includes 3 1/2" bracket
Well priced

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've installed 2 of these so far in Dell Latitudes. The drives have performed better than any other SSD I've used so far. I'll be buying many more of these.

Pros: No suprises, second Adata ssd I have purchased and am pleased with both.

Cons: NewEgg packaging/shipping of ssd: There is no excuse for the lack of proper packing of anything bought from NewEgg. They threw the expensive Adata ssd in the bottom of a box then threw a few feet (3') of brown packing paper on top, essentially protecting nothing. Do it right or get out of the business. This trend by NewEgg must come to a halt. Do you really not care about how an item is sent cross country, bounced around, thrown around, with out any protective cushioning/packaging??? I have recd about 4 items like this in the last four months and if it continues my business will go elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg you need to wake up and properly package your items for transportation, not just throw them inside a box. This is not the first time I have wrote this particular subject up.
