1 out of 5 eggsCatastrophic failure

Pros: Fast ... while it worked

Cons: Dead precisely 31 days after arrival. I used it pretty heavily to hold some virtual disk images. But there was no physical abuse whatsoever nor any physical damage. Then one day it just decided to die without any warning. Tried it on different computers and operating systems for salvage to no avail.

1 out of 5 eggs24 hours later

Pros: none. drive failed

Cons: failed. quite literally within the hour of my last review. if i could edit it i would but since i can't i don't want anyone to base their decision on my mistake

Other Thoughts: drive was unrecognizable. i downloaded the adata recovery tool, which incidentally only recovers the drive not the data and after using it the drive now runs 40 read 20 write

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast for the price

Pros: Very Fast
Inexpensive

Cons: Gets very warm.
Cap detaches instead of retract so there's a Potential to lose it. Body is aluminum but the cap is just plastic.

Other Thoughts: Flash memory that's over 32GB definitely merits exFAT over FAT32, so if you can support that filesystem wherever you use it, definitely go for it.
Tests with AD-SSD:
Sequential read: 80.52MB/s
Sequential write: 77.93MB/s

5 out of 5 eggs105/78

Pros: smoking fast at a good price.

Cons: none so far, except no activity indicator. not that it matters since it moves data so fast but it's nice to have i guess

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Rubbish

Pros: Read and write speeds are acceptable and fairly consistent, but will decrease when copying files larger than 2GB (OS images, etc). Solid construction-- not one of those retractable designs.

Cons: I have several of these at work-- one I use personally and the others I have issued to my end users. I can only comment on the one I use personally, but it has been a truly awful experience. After about two weeks of minimal use, the drive became corrupted and needed to be scanned and checked for errors. A few days later, it required a reformat. One week passes, and it needs to be formatted again. Each time, I lose the contents of the drive-- not a huge issues, mostly drivers and software patches, but this should not be happening on a new device, especially when I take special care to eject it before physically removing it every single time.

Other Thoughts: I've had nothing but bad luck with Adata flash memory products. I had hoped this newer model, with USB3.0, would perform at a higher level... I am saddened to report that they are still a subpar brand. I see this is on sale today for $43.99 with a $10 rebate. Do yourself a favour and spend a little more for something that will function correctly.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Starts out fast. Well constructed.

Cons: Slows way down when copying large files.

Other Thoughts: I copied a 12GB file to see the speed. It started out at around 150 MB/second and then slowed to around 38 MB/second half way through and finished at 33 MB/second in Win 7. Maybe this is normal for large files? I think other USB 2.0 flash drives I have average around 23 MB/second, so faster but not what I expected. Needed to format from FAT32 to NTFS, which is no big deal.
