5 out of 5 eggsGreat USB 3.0 Flash

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: Sturdy aluminum body which is nice in case you drop or smash it. It should hold up pretty well. Exceeds the 100MB/s READ and 50MB/s WRITE speed listed. This is awesome compared to others that don't always hit their advertised performance. Over all a VERY good drive for the money

Cons: The cap clips on the USB end pretty well, but if you clip it on the back side it's pretty loose. Good chance you could lose the cap at some point if you aren't careful.

Other Thoughts: CrystalDiskMark Performance:

Sequential: 112MB/s READ 58MB/s WRITE
512K: 100MB/s READ 26MB/s WRITE
4K: 6MB/s READ 1MB/s WRITE
4K QD32: 7MB/s READ 1MB/s WRITE

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: Small, comes with cap, USB 3.0, hard design.
What I like most about it relative to other flash drive is the outer casing uses aluminium instead of the regular plastic like everybody else. I just find metal more sturdier than plastic. And it comes with a cap instead of the slide or twist kind. The slides and twist kind often break or bend and loses connection to the flash drive then it becomes lost.
This one has a cap which clips on the flash drive well and it does not move. So you can put it in ur pocket and not worry about bending or snapping the end off.

Cons: Gets hot if u transfer a lot of data, the markings on the flash drive will come off sooner or later.

Another issue is that u can put the cap on the end of the flash drive so you dont lost it. However, it is very lose and can easily come off.

Other Thoughts: i give it a 5 star because I'm a tech that relies on flash drives everyday to run my programs. And we have some at work that are plastics. The good thing about this one is that it dosen't "die" or get bent to the point the computer wont be able to read the flash drive anymore. And because of the metal design it feels much more sturdier and longer lasting than its competitors.

1 out of 5 eggsdead after first use

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: i have 3 other adata s102 stick, all 32gb and all of them working fine.

Cons: stick died after first use.

Other Thoughts: is it 64gb problem? chips tech process thinner and therefore less reliable?

5 out of 5 eggsADATA S102 Pro 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: Fast, seems sturdy. Easy to use on the USB 3.0 port on my laptop. Really notice the difference between USB 2.0 Flash drives I still use. No problems so far. Got on sale for a few dollars less.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I've been using this for viewing most videos on my LG Blue Ray USB port instead of streaming from the network. I just shut the network down, and use this in the player, or a patriot box office that plays mp3's the LG won't play. I paused a vid or mp3 talk radio show on a single drive network NAS a few months ago. Got up the next day and the click of death had hit the drive. Had some things on it that I had archived that are lost now. So it's much easier and safer for me to transfer vids I want to view with this flash, and save wear, and tear on my new raid 1 NAS network setup. Pause, and don't need to worry now as things are backed up elsewhere. No moving parts to wear out.

1 out of 5 eggsRead/Write Speeds Are Terrible

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: It was cheap compared to other flash drives with similar specs.

Cons: I am only getting 30 mbs read and write and they advertise 100 mbs. I will definitely be sending this back.

Other Thoughts: You are getting what you pay for with this flash drive.

1 out of 5 eggsWas great while it lasted

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: Great speed and capacity for the price.

Cons: My first one failed after 8 months.

Other Thoughts: I bought the first one in October 2013. I purchased another about 7 weeks ago, it failed within days. Newegg promptly replaced it and the replacement failed in 2 weeks. The first one I bought has now failed as well. I can only surmise that this is a defective line of products. Will update when ADATA answers support request BUT 3 for 3 is not good at all.

Cons: Unreliable, work work for more than 1 minute after low level formating if it finishes without errors

1 out of 5 eggsWork fine for like less than 1 month...

This review is from: ADATA S102 Pro Advanced 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model AS102P-64G-RBL

Pros: Works fine until it died only 29 days after I bought it.

Cons: Lower speed than advertized. When I transfer big files, the write speed drops drastically under 5-10 mb.
Died 29 days after i bought it. I wanted to rma it on the adata site , but their whole rma process is a total mess. The page would never load and when it does it says that my rma bill is incomplete, even if all is well filled. This is a real clown company with no support and a trash site. Go for something like Kingston, where in all my life, not a single drive/ssd failed me.

Other Thoughts: For the price, this product was appeling, but dont be fooled by the falsy 50 mb write speed, it goes fast for like 5 sec. than after it drops at 5-10 mb for the rest of the process. Also sorry for the orthograph, but im not that good in english and very angry at the moment.
