5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: they are fairly short and don't have any heatsinks sticking up so they fit under my EVO 212 cooler perfectly, don't get in the way of anything. great price.

Cons: none besides the fact a few months after I purchased these ram prices seemed to drop again.

Other Thoughts: these are pretty minimum specs with new games like GTA 5 and Witcher 3 coming out I highly urge anyone to go with 16 GB ram now. It's not a lot more money and you're going to wish you had! Trust me!

1 out of 5 eggsQuestionable Warranty

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Website says" “Over a decade of bringing Love, Life, Dreams, to the world” Phooey.
I purchased a 4GB pair of DDR3 modules from newegg – one of which was defective. I tried to RMA the defective one and they continue to give me the run-around. They even asked for photos of the DRAM – front and back. The front has a sticker, the back does not. After sending them a photo of the back, they said the sticker was missing.
Their written English is so poor, it is hard to understand. When trying to verify warranty coverage on their website, it says my barcoded sticker numbers are invalid? Huh?
I have sent 4 emails to them over a period of two days. I wonder if they will honor their “LIFETIME WARRANTY” or if they are just trying to wear me down with nonsensical emails. And NO, I am not trying to cheat them.

Other Thoughts: Example of their broken English: "where are your sticker ?It has been ripped up" When I enter the bar coded serial number from the label on their website, it says INVALID. Huh? At first they pushed me to return the item to newegg rather than perform a RMA

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Excellent deal here on Newegg!
Works perfectly.
Stable and fast, as far as I can tell.
Nice simple, non-blingy looking
RED!

Cons: My Asus Z87 mobo didn't recognize it as 1600Hz speed, so I had to specify the correct memory speed in BIOS...not sure that it's even noticeable, lol

Other Thoughts: Combined a pair of these with a pair of slightly different ADATA XPG V1.0 from TD, no problems...whew!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well the working stick did about as good as I could have asked for about a month.

Cons: One stick DOA, so I ran with the other one alone for a month and now it is also dead and my PC won't start.

Other Thoughts: If I can't redeem the warranty (through their customer service who didn't answer the phone when I called 5 minutes ago) then im just going to a more reputable company for my memory.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Bought on sale for $73. My motherboard detected my RAM as 1333 MHz, but I just changed it to 1600 MHz and have had no problems. It is low profile and fits fine in my Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 motherboard with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO heatsink fan comfortably.

Cons: I suppose the only con is the annoying packaging that can be tricky to open, but it only took a little effort with some strong scissors.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: Relatively inexpensive when bought on sale. Still a good value at full price. Simple heat spreaders.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Works fine with the ECS B85H3-M7 LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard I purchased here on Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value for a small home server

Other Thoughts: Works great with my ASRock AM1B-ITX AM1 motherboard, and powers my FreeNAS 9.1 server.

4 out of 5 eggsQuality RAM

Pros: RAM works fine.

Cons: None to be seen.

Other Thoughts: For some reason the kit wouldn't run with 2 sticks in my board (Intel DZ68BC). Running each stick one at a time worked fine so that's how it's running now. Pieced together another build and used the other stick without any issues.

I've owned several A-DATA kids throughout the years and have never had to RMA any of them. Purchasing confidence in a brand helps narrow down the buying decision.
