5 out of 5 eggsExcellent customer service!

Pros: Worked great! Heat spreaders were firmly attached and touched all chips completely and work well. They are also an attractive red if you have a window on your case.

Cons: None, great memory. I submitted compatibility questions via email to Patriot and had a courteous and professional answer early the next day. I'm big on customer service, which is why I shop Newegg :)

Other Thoughts: Gateway 825GM P4 3.4 Ghz with Intel motherboard

5 out of 5 eggsGood Ram

Pros: paired these with 2x256 memory that came with my 550GR Gateway, now im running 2.5 GB with no issues. ( i think this is pretty much the highest you can get without running into that whole 4BG Ram and 32bit proc limitation thing...) anway, the heat spreaders are nice, its 3-3-3-8 so it matches my Samsung Ram, so it just works great, no problems yet

Cons: the price NOW, i got these when they were in the one hundred sixty dollar range. (i guess price went up since july?)

Other Thoughts: if your short on ram, your a gamer who needs it, and you have a little money, GO FOR IT!!!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's good RAM

Pros: I installed this RAM in parents computer, which isn't for gaming really, and it's running an AMD 939 X2 4200, and it works just fine. It's actually a pretty fast computer, games run fine, no hibernae/sleep problems. It's a see through computer also, so the red looks nice.

Cons: None, I havn't had any problems yet, although the Corsair XMS RAM in my gaming machine seems to be a bit better, but you need to remember this isn't XMS or OCZ gold/platinum, it's great RAM for average gamers, students or anyone who doesn't overclock.

Other Thoughts: I don't know why lots of people have been leaving this RAM negative feedback, the heatsinks are just fine and the sticks do not overheat. My parents keep their computer on over 30 hours a week just for the fun of it, and they've been doing that for the last month and never any problems. I've played games on their computer and I've never had any problems either. They do have pretty good cooling in their case, a 120mm pulling air into the system, two 80mm circulating air inside the system, a zalman cpu cooler (which tends to cool down your video card and RAM as well), an other 80mm pulling air out of the case (mostely CPU area) and a 120mm pulling warm air out from the back. Maybe all those fans help, but overall this is great RAM for the price. If you rather not buy it I would say go OCZ, that way you get great ram plus a rebate or if your a gamer Corsair XMS (really pricy, but worth it for a true gamer, a waste of money for non-gamers).

2 out of 5 eggsHeat spreaders don't

Pros: Good price. But...if they don't work...see cons.

Cons: The heat spreaders don't touch all of the chips (mine has 4 with no contact at all) and simply don't work. That caused my stick to fail after one month.

2 out of 5 eggshmmm

Pros: Cheap. Nice heat spreaders

Cons: UNSTABLE

Other Thoughts: I'm running an nforce4 MSI MB that I have been using for over 8 months. I installed this RAM at the standard timings and it caused XP to memory dump in BF2. Setting it in single channel seemed to help until one day my computer went to sleep and never woke up. The RAM even caused my computer to not POST. I also tried it in another computer, same results. Perhaps it was a bad batch, either way I'm going back to Cxxxair.
