5 out of 5 eggsDDR 400

Pros: 2 GIGS runs vista at 5.9 memory rating if used as 1T. works great in pairs and singles

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: used this brand of memory for 3 years and never had a stick go bad. also have used DDR2 from patriot. Low cas latency and ability to run 1T makes this memory fast.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Do It!!!

Pros: The Cost, but after this I wouldn't even consider that a plus.

Cons: Everything! The RAM worked fine for about a month and then one of the two sticks I purchased died. Trying to RMA through the Patriot site is a joke. Your e-mails end up getting rejected and there is never anyone on the live message. It took 5 days just get a reply and an RMA #. Then another three weeks to get the replacement RAM. To make matters worse the RMAed stick was DOA. Now again I am unable to get an e-mail to them as I keep getting e-mail rejected replays.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking at this RAM move on to either Cruzial or OCC they are better and only cost a few dollars more.

3 out of 5 eggsWe'll see...

Pros: Very good timings of 2-3-2-5 at 1T when it works.

Cons: Added another GB, crashed Win XP and BF2 repeatedly. Decided to run MemTest86 on it, and displayed over 20 errors in under an hour. I guess I got a bad one.

Other Thoughts: My other identical stick has been working flawlessly for well over a year now. Hopefully, the RMA process goes quickly so I can get up to speed again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: Great ram, I want more of it. I plugged it in and it works. I have one 1gb stick and I play BF2 all day long with no issues.

Cons: I only have one 1gb

Other Thoughts: I'm gonna get three more real soon.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: BIOS recognised it immediately. Haven't had any problems.

Cons: Doesn't print money? None that I can see.

Other Thoughts: I bought two sticks of this, big difference between the 512 mb of RAM I used to have. You want solid stable RAM that'll give you good performance? this is it.

5 out of 5 eggsBig difference

Pros: It makes my older computer run noticeably faster upgrading from 768mb to 1.5 gb. The heat spreader makes the ram feel solid, and my computer recognized it right away

Cons: havn't noticed anything bad

Other Thoughts: I have an old Dell 4550 and wasn't sure how much ram i could fit into my computer since the dell website confused me with different bus speeds and some not allowing more than 1gb of ram. So I went to the crucial website and did a system scan that told me i could fit up to 2gb in my computer. I received the package on my way out the door, ran upstairs to install it and was out the door less than 5 minutes later. Everything works great

4 out of 5 eggsPatriot 1 GB DDR SDRAM

Pros: Nicely designed. Does the job. On Asus A78NX mobo, works best with manual bios settings. Nice heat shield.

Cons: Ordered 3 pieces - 2 worked fine, 1 was defective. Did not pass mem test at bootup.

Other Thoughts: Newegg delivered real fast, but really slow and frustrating to deal with on returns of obviously defective merchandise. This RMA process takes WEEKS!!!!
