5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Just a little tight to insert—don't know if that's the memory or the mobo. Once in, all is well.

Cons: Harder to insert than the memory than original memory.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Better than Advertised

Pros: It works at DDR1000 4 3 4 12 and I did not try for more. This is the 2nd set of memory. I am now running 4 x 1 gb in Vista 32 with zero issues, Prime95 stable 14hrs +. At 2.2 to 2.3v I have never had a memory problem. My system has other limits that prevent me from setting the DDR to 1066.

If you check the reviews, this memory is still right at the top and the timing overcloks are great. tCL = 4 is a must if you want optimal memory performance.

Don't buy the cheap stuff, get this memory and it will never hold your system back.

Cons: This like most memory cannot run tCL = 3 even at 2.3v but Patriot never said it would.

Other Thoughts: 2 sets of 2 stick bough over a year apart and they work exactly as promised 4 3 4 4 12 at DDR1000 and DDR800 and DDR865. If you are having problems with this memory and the clocking and DDR there are some good tech papers out there to explain why you cannot just put the memory at DDR1066 and have your system work. I hate to see so many people having memory issues or thinking their memory is not good when the process of optimizing your memory is not as simple as setting the highest possible FSB and DDR.
My systems is fastest at DDR865 due to the CPU clock limitations and FSB to memory ratio in the BIOS.

5 out of 5 eggsRam works really well in harsh conditions

Pros: Using two1 G sticks in a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R running in the Texas heat summer since May 24/7 at worse case about 108 Degrees F and it survived in a PC system that has five 3.1 M Pixel security cams constantly running and recording 24/7. Ram is running at 1.8 Volts settings. Amazing. The PC has never ever crashed and I write about 3 to 4 Tera Bytes of data a week on this system since May 08 and due to this great performace, I will not even waste my time trying other rams. I now stick with this Patriot model now.

Cons: None,

Other Thoughts: I am running no where near the voltage range of 2.1 to 2.3 volts. Actually scared to try that since it runs so stable at 1.8 volts.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Other than the relatively high unfortunate failure rate these could have been great RAM.

Cons: So far 4 out of a batch of 12 have failed. I do not know if they are over heating and warping the heat spreader or if the heat spreader is warped and causing them to overheat but all of the failed chips have a slightly warped spreader now, in apposed to the ones that still work and do not.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat memory

Pros: Works at 800 just fine.

Cons: Didnt work at 1066 on my P5K Pro Asus board but i suspect the problem is with the board not the memory. Forcing the board to go to 1066 caused major stability issues.

Other Thoughts: Good price and works at the lower speed. Maybe one day i will get it to work at 1066.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

The voltage and timing variant differs between different makes/models/chipset mainboards. We do have screenshots of the BIOS for this particular kit. You can look over at the settings made by our engineers, that way you can compare it to the settings you made. It might not be the same motherboard, but the settings should be very similar. 1 out of 5 eggsWth is wrong with it?

Pros: It's 2G ram, got it when it was $40 or something like that

Cons: Alright, I used a program called CPU-Z which tells me specs on my computer. I went to the Ram, it shows max bandwidth is PC2-6400 (400 MHz). I have also used crucial's scan and it shows it at 6400? Did i get shipped the wrong ram or what?

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from 3200 after I built my new computer. For being "8500" these are pretty slow.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Steven S,

1 out of 5 eggsFailed in one week

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Failed in just over one week of use. Would not even POST. Put in a different set of ram and booted up and runs Prime 95 just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsFast enough for me.

Pros: Price. Speed. 5.9 WEI score. I'm only using 2Gig with onboard HD 3300 GPU "stealing" 256MB of it, but it's still more than enough to run Vista Enterprise 32bit and run 40+ windows I bring up regularly for work and still have plenty of memory left for superfetch.

Cons: Newegg ran out of 2x2Gig I actually wanted.

Other Thoughts: I've never been a big fan of overclocking, so I try to get the fastest factory rated. Will most likely order another 2Gig to fill up 2 empty slots on my mobo.
