Pros: I have 2 sets. I am running 1 set 7-7-7-20@1.9v linked and synced at 1600 on a EVGA 790i. qx9650 is 10x400 machine runs great/stable.
On the other 790i I am running 7-7-7-20@1.9v linked and synced@1600 with a e8400@9x400 machine runs great and stable.

Cons: None other than the high latency associated with DDR3.

Other Thoughts: Have had great success with these 2 pairs of Patriot ddr3.
This was my 1st time using ram from patriot and I am very pleased.

Excellent Ram

Pros: I was in the process of building a mobo with the finicky 790i chipset. I tried 2 other premium versions of ddr3 ram and neither worked without problems on the mobo. I ordered the Patriot viper and the computer came to life and is stable and very fast. No errors memtest so far so good.

Cons: 1,Expensive 2. Called patriot tech support and no one returned my call which is a bad sign. Minus 2 eggs for that otherwise great ram.

Other Thoughts: People shop at newegg because they support their customers.
Patriot should follow newegg's example and make tech support easily (at least return calls) available to customers. I remember having a similar problem in the past with other patriot ram.

Awesome RAM

Pros: Performs as advertised. I am very happy with them. Immediately ran MemTest86+ upon installation and both sticks passed with no errors. I broke them in for a couple days at stock settings and am now running them OC'd to
8-8-8-22-2T 1700MHz @ 1.90v. I am sure they can easily go up to 1800MHz with a minor increase in voltage.

Pros: I love this ram but what i had to do to get it to run was scary.
I'm not a techy guy everything i know ive done so by myself. So when i get stuck im not in good shape. Ive gotten lucky over the years and between my friends and my little brother ive made it by. This ram kicked my hiney. But not @ first. @ first i just plugged my ram in and away it went (2 sticks) WOOOOO! Then i get a wild hair in my touch and decide i want 2 more sticks of this good stuff. But before ordering it i decided to check my mobo and the settings on the other 2 bays. Thats when it alll started....

Note: when i plugged this ram in and dident check the settings & i still thought it was good fast ram. After fixing my bios and getting the ram to run at proper(almost) settings.... WOW! This ram Rocks! im happy with the end result.

Cons: Long story short....
To get the ram to run on my board it required a bios flash and manually setting the timeings and voltage.

mobo:bios ver: you dont need to know

ram timeings: current- 7-7-7-30* @(800mhz) @1.9v

30 instead of 20 due to the fact my only option there is "auto" and 30 is what my mobo has decided.

Other Thoughts: Skill level: junkyard titan.
