3 out of 5 eggsNot that it matters now

Pros: Worked well when it did.

Cons: One of the sticks failed after 15 months.

Other Thoughts: About 15 months into ownership, one of the sticks started having bit errors which caused crashes randomly in Linux. I ran a memory tester and found that indeed one of them had errors. I have bought patriot memory before and since and haven't had trouble with them until now. Maybe this will be the only time. One can hope.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Deltaray,

We regret to hear that one of the sticks have failed on you. Rest assured that all of out memory is backed by a lifetime warranty. To expedite the warranty on your memory, please contact support@patriotmem.com.

Thank You for choosing Patriot!

Regards,
Patriot Support

1 out of 5 eggsnot stable at 1066

Pros: None

Cons: First set would fail memtest no matter what the settings. Did an RMA with patriot, took a month to get the memory back. Installed and ran memtest......and 8000errors. I would not buy this ram again.

Other Thoughts: Congrats to all the people that got it to work but Im not recommending this ram to anyone. And patriot is very slow with there RMA's and they don't like to respond in a timely manor.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Mlovett,

First off we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Furthermore it is extremely rare to receive two consecutive bad kits of our PDC24G8500ELKR2 (or any of our memory for that matter). Rest assured, that we are committed to providing nothing less than quality products to market. If you have a prior RMA open, please contact the last RMA rep you were working with, and they will be happy to accommodate you through your return.

Sincere Regards,
Patriot Memory Support

3 out of 5 eggsGood at 800

Pros: Heatsink

Cons: Runs great if u want over priced 800. Has issues running at 1066. Patriot was helpful with the standard tech support. Got an RMA going and waiting on the return shipment. Will keep this up to date when new ram shows up.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what it says on the box

Pros: Very stable at 1080 MHz (360 MHz FSB x3) with 5-5-5-14 timings @2.1V. I had them running stably at 1125 MHz (same timings 2.2V) for a while, but scaled it back to balance-out CPU speed (has Intel finally ditched synchronous clocks in the Core i_ architecture?).

Extended SPD info with full optimized timings profiles.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have had very good experience with Patriot RAM. It has been consistently stable, high-performance, low-latency, low-cost RAM that operates as advertised. I've typically been able to get about 50~60 MHz of extra clock speed from Patriot sticks, which isn't enough for serious overclocking, but it's plenty of headroom for finding an appropriate clock multiplier when overclocking the FSB.

I also enjoy the irony of a product manufactured in one country and sold in another by a multinational corporation bearing the name "Patriot". :-)

5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: I replaced my old Super Talent 4 Go DDR2 @ 820 with 2.2V with the Patriot Extreme Performance (4*2Go). I use them at 1060 with 2.1V and 5 5 5 14 - very stable so far and no problem.

Cons: Not for the price

5 out of 5 eggsTop Memory

Pros: Had this memory for over a year. Never had any problems with it. I use to use Corsair. Very happy with Patriot.

Cons: Been wating for Newegg to get it back in. Will order 4 more gig. No rebate. I am sure they will have a rebate after I order it.

Other Thoughts: Asus M3N Ws motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz
Running 4 gig of ram
Will be adding 4 more gig

3 out of 5 eggsGood memory if you are lucky

Pros: This memory is excellent when it is running correctly. No issues at all with the proper timing.

Cons: I have ordered three sets of this ram in the past year. Two of these have had serious errors. Memtest86 would give me anywhere from 100 to 1000 errors/minute. If you get two good sticks, that great, enjoy your good fast memory.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully you wont be as unlucky as I have been.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Daniel
I'm sorry you have had issues with bad modules in the past but I'm happy that you stick with Patriot Memory. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me directly.

5 out of 5 eggs1066 and go!

Pros: Runs at 1066. If it doesn't run at 1066 for you, make sure your Motherboard is configured correctly. I have an ASUS P5Q Turbo that allows me to manually set it to 1066 as well has up the voltage to the 2.1v stamped on the chips. My system defaulted to 800 and 1.8v.

Cons: Heat sinks on these are kind of small. Patriot Extreme was recommended to me with the heat sinks in mind, but this particular model has somewhat small heatsinks. Basically it is just a cover.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Ram Lousy Rebate

Pros: The Ram works great no problem at all.

Cons: The rebate took forever then they delayed mailing it to me and when I did get it the check had already expired do to delays with the mail.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Anonymous
I'm sorry for the problems you seem to have had with your rebate. Situations such as these are outside my purvue but if you have any technical questions or problems please do not hesitate to send me an email personally!
