Re-Review for 790i Ultra Users
- Pros: Excellent Memory for the Nvidia 790i Ultra chipset.
Installed, set factory timings / voltage, been running ever since @ 2000MHz with zero issues. FAST RAM. Fast Fast Fast.
- Cons: None at all.
- Other Thoughts: Nvidia 790i Ultra Chipset users: BEFORE you install this RAM, set your BIOS to DEFAULT, reboot, then shutdown. Now, install the memory, boot into BIOS, Advanced Chipset Features, Set the memory timings to 9-9-9-24, Put EPP2.0 on Expert (otherwise you can't get in to manually set the timing) Make sure you set the MEM SPD to 2000. Now, go into system voltages, set the MEM Voltage to 2.0, Exit and Save. Before I ever boot into the OS, I start right off with a Memtest86 (cd method). I passed 12 hours of Memtest86, Prime95 blend, and OCCT. You shouldn't have any problems if you affirm you have all previously stated settings in the BIOS CORRECTLY. Hope this helps some out.
Blazing Fast
- Pros: 2000mhz makes a huge difference the way my computer runs now and with a new mobo the 790i with the latest capacitors and digital PMW its out of this world.
- Cons: At first 2000mhz didnt work but then in my new MOBO manual i found that if you want over 1600 Mhz you must use slots 2 and 3 (black)
