3 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Nothing yet

Cons: DDR2 cost too much
1 stick was DOA, it kept giving me BSOD and took some troubleshooting to narrow it down

Other Thoughts: Never had the chance to fully test this out yet since it just died on me

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Outstanding timings set in SPD

Cons: DDR2 is pricey anymore.

The heatsinks, while not huge, still needed cutting down for my HTPC case. That meant a stressful session with a dremel tool. I have peeled the heatsinks off other sticks of ram before. Eventually I peeled the chips off a board and that ended that practice.
I think a nibbler would have worked better and relieved my angst over metal filings and the extreme measures I took to minimize them - but I didn't have one so ultimately I can't positively recommend doing it that way.

Other Thoughts: I love Patriot ram! They always have great chip timings and I've never had a problem with it's operation.
I took a long time to track down Patriot SODIMMs to run in my old laptop just for the great timings. (Even tho I had to order them from a warehouse in Ireland).

THIS ram went in a new HTPC. Of course I wanted the great timings because..... well because I'm funny that way!
System; HP DC7900(240W PS!!), Q9650, HD5570, SSD, 2TB WD green drive, Blu-ray burner, 65" Sharp Aquos...
As with many major brand systems it had a crippled BIOS.
No way to tweak memory settings. I could hack the BIOS but instead went with the Patriot ram that had the SPD settings. The system booted and uses the tightest timings in the SPD; outstanding!

4 out of 5 eggsgood but expensive

Pros: performs well with no problems

Cons: Expensive compared to more modern RAM. 8 GB of DDR2 costs almost 4 times as much as 8 GB of DDR3. Them's the breaks.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked well have had no problems since i installed. Was not to hard to over clock. i am running 12Gbs now. My only problem that i had was that my other memory was faster and could not get this up to there level so i had slow them down. wish i could separately clock both type of memory in my system.

Cons: ddr2 is getting so expensive.

Other Thoughts: i wonder if i would be better off just getting new motherboard so i could go to ddr3 might save money in the long run.

5 out of 5 eggsJust What I Needed!

Pros: Reliable 8Gb of RAM. The timings are very easily set. No blue screens or errors of any kind.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I bought these because I was constantly running out of memory in games like Fallout NV and ETW. I tried and tried to put my favorite memory of all time, Mushkin Redline 8000's in with a 4x2 configuration, but could never get it stable. These allowed me to get my 8GB! I just wish I knew what their upper limit is...I'd love to get them up to the DDR-1000 speed of those Redlines.

4 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: Runs perfect.
Great for DAW folks.
Great for gaming.
Looks cool, runs cooler.
Fast shipping.

Cons: DDR2 is getting CRAZY expensive! Buy now!!!!!!
I should have upgraded years ago!!! :o(

Other Thoughts: FYI: If using custom RAM settings in your BIOs, you may need to switch back to "auto" in order to get new RAM to work.
Do so before installing your new RAM.
Then tweak-away pal! :o)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not a bad price for 8 GB's of DDR2 memory these days. Out of the package, it works as advertised... no problems whatsoever! I'm happy with it, and my flight sims are happy with it, too! :)

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsFINALLY!!

Pros: Worked FLAWLESSLY with my m/b which (while good) has been finicky about adding RAM. Combined this Patriot with my existing OCZ and have a lovely 12GB on board.

Cons: Couldn't get here fast enough.
