5 out of 5 eggsCurrently Running at 1866 mHz

Pros: I bought this memory back when it was a package deal with the AMD FX-6100 back in early December, and it has been running perfectly ever since I plugged them in. I do remember at first they were running at a low freq, I think back in the 1066 or something like that but I just upgraded the BIOS on my ASUS M5A97 and they ran great. It wasn't until I started playing Battlefield 3 that I decided to up the speed to 1866 and they run perfectly stable, no problems what so ever.

Cons: Don't fit well under my cool master's V6 cpu cooler.

Other Thoughts: AMD FX-6100 3.8 GHz
8GB Patriot G Series 1866 mHz
MSI R6850 Cyclone
Asus M5A97

Pros: runs great and cool and all other goodies you can think of.

Cons: rebate never showed up and when i call the routed me to a 3rd party who refused to help.

Other Thoughts: i was able to overclock my set to close to 2000mhz @ 10 10 10 31 @ 1.65. runs very cool at stock voltage. running at 1866 for 24/7

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: motherboard started at low settings but sets at 1600 no problem (had to up voltage to 1.65 but that is standard) had no problems at 1333 with 1.5v. heatspreader looks good and serves its purpose, patriot did well with this kit

Cons: heatspreader height might conflict with a large cpu aircooler but thats a stretch for finding issues

Other Thoughts: Most people buying are using on Intel based systems, I am using this for an Amd system and I cannot be happier with this kit, has OC room to spare currently running at 1774mhz at rated timings and I got a few extra points in win7 (7.2). Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3

1 out of 5 eggsNot for AM3+

Pros: Newegg's Shipping is fast

Cons: Will not run stable at advertised speeds or capacity. The motherboard bios and windows will only use 12Gb out of the 16Gb I have installed (2 sets). It reads a 4Gb module in each memory slot and windows says "16Gb total/12Gb useable". I have been trying Patriot Tech support for over a week with no response from them. Asus has actually tried to help me with the issue but still no luck. The motherboard will use all of the memory randomly on boot but it is unstable. I have manually adjusted the timing and voltage but it still won't work.

Other Thoughts: Running on a sabretooth 990FX motherboard with a FX4100 processor, 1000Watt power supply and Windows 7 64bit. Ran memory test on each stick individually and they all tested good.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Flash42,

I'm sorry to hear that you had issues with your memory and that you have yet to be assisted by our support team. Please don't hesitate to send an e-mail and I'll be glad to look into the matter.

4 out of 5 eggsCompatible with intel and AMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: THESE WORK IN ANY SYSTEM OUT THERE.....PERIOD!!...Cheap and decient speed when they work and look great in the case.

Cons: about 20% of these are DOA when I get them and simply won't post an be stable at any speed, timing or voltage on any system. Don't believe there statement that these are individualy 100% Tested and Verified, but there cheap enough it's worth the gamble and patiot is great about RMAing there products as I never seem to use them in a build in time to do an RMA though NEWEGG

Other Thoughts: DON'T!!! listen to the reviews saying these don't work with AMD platform. I build custom pc's at a store in my home town an have bought more than 10 sets of these for builds with AMD systems anywhere from an unlocked sempron 145 to the new FX chips as well as intels sandy bridge chips. Ram is ram anymore, there's no such thing as ram that only works on particular platforms anymore aside from high voltage ram on sandybridge platforms if your scared to go over 1.65v

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Plug it in, and it works.

Cons: Did not recognize the speed as advertised, had to manually input these values. Rebate never came - Purchased for 41 dollars with a $20 mail in rebate - Been three months now, no payment, and they will not reissue the rebate, new-egg claims they can do nothing about it.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg customer service was very patronizing and quick to get off the phone - things did not end up as I thought they would with this great company.. nevertheless a good product! Works fine!

2 out of 5 eggsGood Memory but Duped out of Rebate

Pros: This memory runs well in my AMD setup despite what others are claiming. Maybe it is a MB compatibility issue.

Cons: I sent in the rebate with all the documentation and the UPC at the correct time frame. The documentation can actually be seen right on the website of the rebate company.

However, they decided to deny my rebate because it wasn't signed. I have done many rebates in the past and very few ever need a signature, including Norton and Microsoft rebates. So even though I purchased the item, sent in the rebate at the right time and included the UPC, they still denied the rebate based on no signature on the form. I think the signature requirement is just another ploy to have them deny your rebate.

So, if you are looking to purchase this item and doing it based on the rebate then please be sure to sign your form, otherwise they will deny the rebate.

Other Thoughts: I am becoming more reluctant to purchase items with rebates because of these shenanigans.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I'm sorry to hear that you had an issue with your rebate. Please don't hesitate to contact us at rebates@patriotmem.com and we'll be glad to look into the matter.

1 out of 5 eggs***NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AMD***

Pros: cheap

Cons: This memory is NOT compatible with AMD processors/MB's. As other reviewers have stated, the memory WILL NOT work at its advertised speeds when used in anything but Intel. I have an AMD fx-6100 and ASUS M5A97 MB, and BIOS reports RAM as PC3 1000 and ASUS AISuite shows it at 533Mhz. I expect better from both Patriot and Newegg. Nowhere on the product page does it say that this memory is not compatible with AMD. And as for Patriot, I was a fan of their products, however if they are going to cater to a specific company (Intel), then I will not be spending my hard-earned money on their products. I will be happily switching to Corsair for RAM from now on.
Also, It would be nice, Newegg, if when I am ordering products that are supposed to work together, that you TELL ME that I have chosen a product which is INCOMPATIBLE with other items that I have in my shopping cart. Now I have to order new RAM before RMA'ing the old RAM so I dont have to be without my brand new box while I wait.

Other Thoughts: Again, it would be nice if customers (me), could be notified before checkout that they are purchasing products which are not compatible with each other. A system such as this would prevent unnecessary product returns due to incompatibility.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Rob,

I'm sorry for the confusion. In regards to this item being specified for the Intel P55, I believe it is under 'Details' of the product page on Newegg. The reason why we have memory for both AMD and Intel is that the rated speeds may not correlate. Nonetheless if you have not submitted your RMA yet, please send me an E-mail. I'll see if I can provide you with some tweaks to get it working at optimal speeds for your AMD system.

Regards,
Benjamin

1 out of 5 eggsno more

Pros: cheap

Cons: My first set failed to POST. On this second set that I've had for a bit under a year, I have been getting bluescreens at an increasing frequency. Even at 1333 with looser timings than tech support suggested. Then tech support basically said it will not work at the advertised speeds on a non intel x55 platform and changed their story saying I need to run it at "default" speeds, which I can only guess is 1066? It seemed like they couldn't describe why, or at least made no effort to. NOWHERE in the product page here on Newegg or in the product pamphlet on their website does it say that this is so. It just says, "tested on intel p55 chipset." It doesn't say, Only For Intel P55 Chipsets, and it doesn't say, Will Not Function On Non Intel P55 Chipsets. So if you want lots of slower RAM, go for it, but don't expect it to function properly above 1333.

I am quite disappointed at the time and money lost on what really just seems like a poor product.

Other Thoughts: I have been noticing inexpensive, "tested on x platform," modules of other brands popping up and suspect they are using weasel words to downplay the fact that they are inferior in some way. At least the reviews and my experience with this product line suggests that.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that we were unable to assist you in a satisfactory manner.
