4 out of 5 eggsDecent flash stick

Pros: Price and speed BUT only after special low level formatting

Cons: Make sure that you download a lowlevel formatter from Patriot to re-format this drive to gain speed back.

5 out of 5 eggsBest one i've owned

Pros: Transferred at 25MB/s average (writes) for a slew of different sized files. Never had it corrupt my files like some other drives I've owned. Best usb drive I have.

Cons: I can't eat it.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh...

Pros: pretty fast full formats, and large file transfers

Cons: cheap case, slow random writes which makes it horrible for any sort of operating system installer especially linux if you plan to boot/run/install linux on the drive, bottom line skip it.

Other Thoughts: if your using this for backupit's an alright drive but so is ANY OTHER 8GB DRIVE, a bit overpricedif you ask me.

5 out of 5 eggsblazing fast USB 2.0 drive

Pros: Fastest USB drive I own. Easy to find in my bag. No problems after almost a year of fairly heavy use.

Cons: Bulky. Blocks other USB ports both above/below and to the sides.

Other Thoughts: Of course, real life doesn't match the synthetic benchmarks, but when dealing with large files I easily get 11.6MB/s write, and 30MB/s read. You need a USB 3.0 drive to get any faster than this. No question in my mind that it's worth paying the couple dollars more to get this over any other 8GB drive except maybe the Mushkin Enhanced Mulholland.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected - Happy with results

Pros: I've been waiting for the USB sticks to finally get to a point to use in place of bootable CD/DVDs.

* compact
* durable/wont scratch like CD/DVDs
* 8gb space - much more than CD/DVD
* good speed - tested with HD Tune (see other thoughts)
* nice feel/grip
* smaller than most normal sticks
* burn 3gg+ iso in less than an hour
(it was so fast compared to my other stick, I didnt think of looking to see when it got done...I thought it would take much longer)

Cons: None really, little over $1 per gb is reasonable for the quality so far.

Other Thoughts: HD Tune 2.55 tests:
(default test on an old D630 laptop)

Transfer Rate:
Minimum: 23.0MB/sec
Maximum: 27.8 MB/sec
Average: 24.9 MB/sec
Access Time: 0.7 ms
Burst Rate: 21.5MB/sec
CPU Usage: -1.0%

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the money!

Pros: Very fast, especially for a USB 2.0 drive.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The cover slides off and clicks into place, but after a couple of weeks the clicking mechanism broke and now the flash drive won't stay closed. However, it's solidly built, so even after being tossed around in my pocket for over a year it's still in very good shape.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the Job done!

Pros: Fast for being 2.0,
Reliable / own 2 of these for small data transfers at work, constantly adding and dumping files.. I have formatted these numerous times (not quick formats) no issues.. no fails.. ;)

Cons: the only thing is this theres no cap, it slides to uncover the top to plug in, sometimes in pocket slides open, not a big deal most time in my bag. so all good..

5 out of 5 eggsMega Memory Cheap

Pros: Very nicely packaged USB drive, allows for rapid file storage and in general is very functional with little to no setup required...... good stuff

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: For the money you cannot beat the product and the reliability it offers.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to find locally.

Cons: I got the write-protected error in my first hour of use. Absurd. Waste of time and money. Since I can't return the opened blister pack, I'll just not buy any Patriot products ever again.
