2 out of 5 eggsGood, while it lasted

Pros: Plug and play with my FX-8150.

Cons: 3 years, 9 months later, OS started seg faulting all over the place. Ran Memtest86 and isolated all problem to a single DIMM of this memory. In the last 30 years, I've never had a DIMM go bad on me, so I cannot highly recommend this memory.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great, Very Fast

Pros: - Stable and fast at the speeds I've tested it with
- Looks good.
- Heat spreader is hefty and feels well built, but not too tall to fit underneath coolers.

Cons: None that I've found yet.

Other Thoughts: When I first put this RAM in my system, it started off at 1066 7-7-7. This surprised me a bit since most of the RAM I've seen defaults to 1333 9-9-9. Regardless, when I enabled the XMP profile, it put it self at its correct specifications 2000 9-10-9-27 2T. However, in order to run at that speed, my BCLK had to jump up from 133 to 200. This caused my mobo to automatically increase voltage on the CPU from 1.24 to 1.48. Since I was actually looking to overclock, but keep the stock voltage, I turned off the XMP profile and set the BCLK to 160, memory multiplier to 10, and the adjusted the memory timings to 8-9-8-24 1T. This gave me exactly the results I wanted.
I'm going to see if I can tighten up the timings a little more sometime later.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Installed on Asus P8Z68-v Pro/Gen3, turned on XMP and it ran as advertised at 2000. Huge improvement over my DDR2-800. Picked it up at my local MC for a nice rebate.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Works as advertised. Very pleased with patriot.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome ram works like it should

Pros: This ram was my second choice as my order from New Egg was sent via post office which automatically made it late.
I wanted to get my build up and running so I went to the local computer store and they had this memory.

I had on my old build, DDR2 1066 pc8500 memory but that was an AMD build and I was now updating with an Intel I7 2600K, Asus P8Z68V/Gen3 motherboard so new memory was needed.

First, the Asus P8Z68V/gen 3 board recognized this memory right off the bat. Started out at 1066 mhz.
Did the bios and got it up to 1866 MHZ no trouble at all.

The memory is good looking. Black and matches the Asus board nicely. Pretty heavy heat sinks.

This ram is excellent so far. I did a mild over clock on the CPU and then did a fairly strong overclock and the memory ran smooth as silk. I now have my Intel I7-2600K up to 4.9 GHZ and this ram works flawlessly so far.

Cons: None so far. Could be cheaper in price....but what the heck. Ever time I get something, it ends up going on sale after I get it anyways.

Other Thoughts: Ron Paul / Andrew Napolitano 2012

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram! Even on AMD Systems

Pros: Great RAM! Runs really fast. For those of you who are having troubles getting this run on AMD systems I have it running on full DDR3-2000 speeds on my AMD system. Here are the detailed changes I made in the BIOS and my system specs to help you guys out.

Specs: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula, AMD 1100T @ 4Ghz, 16GB (4x4) @ DDR3-2000. Below are the changes needed to make it work.

FSB Frequency @ 250Mhz instead of stock 200. Timings on Memory set at 9-11-9-27-41-2T with the TRFC @ 300 instead of 160. DRAM voltage set @ 1.9V and NB and HT set @ 1.35V. My processor is also @ 1.4V but that has nothing to do with the RAM. Thats all I had to do. I've done stress testing and all tests came out stable and the RAM is blazing fast.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I am a Computer Engineer. If you are an Amateur with OC'ing beware. Raising voltages and frequencies without proper cooling can damage the hardware permanentally. If you are uncomfortable with it stick with the stock speeds.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good oc'ing ram

Pros: Okay, was skeptical of Patriot ram at first, but I got it at a huge rebate at my local MC so why not I bought it and tried it. Got it running @ 2133 10-11-10-26 at stock volts (1.65v) XMP. If you want my system specs there down below. Stable ram no bsods as of yet and 12+ hours of memtest stable. (luck of the draw, you never know when your going to get defective ram) Great color ram too, matches well with my motherboard.

Cons: I have a nh-d14, and it fits, but the bottom 120mm fan has to be raised a bit above the heatsink. Does not affect performance pretty much at all, but I enjoy my stuff lining up nice and neat.

Other Thoughts: Ram is pretty weighted.

System specs
2600k @ 4.8ghz/1.44v
z68 ud7 b3 board
rest really dont matter for mem oc'ing.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the price

Pros: Great runs fast, runs about average temp for ram speeds with only stock heat-sinks.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wish the heat sinks were a little better with a higher surface area for distribution but over all they run fine.

5 out of 5 eggsPatriot delivers as always

Pros: Loaded XMP Profile and voila! 2000 at 9-11-9-27 with no problems. Great price and great results.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: FX-8120 at 5Ghz / XFX 6990 / Patriot Pyro SSD 120GB in RAID 0

5 out of 5 eggsREAD the title

Pros: Memory runs at speeds exactly as stated!
To all of those who cannot run memory over 1600 MHz.
One question:
Do you have an AMD processor?
If the answer is yes, please read the title of this item. In green. It says a very important word: "INTEL" !!!!!
That might have something to do with it.
Memory is slick, fast, and reliable. BUY BUY BUY

Cons: NONE.
Read before you buy.

Other Thoughts: Patriot only runs over 1600 if you are using a Sandy Bridge processor, NOT an AMD. Please stop complaining all of you Phenon users and read the item before you buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsIm with the N/A "Hmmmm..." guy

Pros: these babies have some sweet looking relatively weighty heat spreaders.... very nice... however they are so tall that on some boards the the third party cpu kooler might cause some physical issues on the board as far as fitting.

Cons: i tried running at 2000 mhz... which mymother so intelligently somehow had an oc profile just for these sticks... but when i started up my amd catalyst or engine control center would force shut down and i lost my overcl0ocking and adjust capabilities for my gpu and cpu.... so after much tweaking i decided to lower the speed to 1600mhz and everything was stable. and running where they should be according to the cpu-z system monitor.

Other Thoughts: this could be a compatibility issue with my mother board according its manual which stated that it could only run at 2000mhz (o.c) with 2 2gigs sticks of another common brand that i can't thing of right now.... so i was forcing it to do something that it wasn't tested for.
running the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3
amd phenom ll 1100t oc'd to 3.7
SAPPHIRE FleX 100314FLEX Radeon HD 6870.
