Pros: OK while it worked.

Cons: Short life, lasted only 2 & 1/2 months with light use.
Flimsy construction - the rubber case pulled off when being unplugged.

Other Thoughts: At first it worked OK on both USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, but after 2 & 1/2 months of only light use it stopped working on USB 3.0 ports - its in-use LED no longer flashed and Windows began displaying the error message "USB device not recognized". It continued to work on USB 2.0 ports.

To test the computer's ports other USB 3.0 and 2.0 flash drives were plugged in, and they worked OK.

After all this, to add insult to injury, one day when this Patriot XT was being pulled out of the PC port, just the rubber case pulled off leaving the plug and its circuit board still sticking out of the port like a finger (the ports are not tighter than normal). Because of the way it's made the rubber case cannot be put back on the circuit board.

Bad all around!

Other Thoughts: It's the Third Patriot Product i got. I recommand this item at everyone who are looking for a high Class Usb.

Pros: Not only does it look great, it's water proof, very fast, and it's extremely durable.

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: This is the best and fastest flash drive I've ever had!

Pros: Great feel and appearance. No loose cap issues that others reported.

Cons: Rubber housing is great if you're worried about dropping. Lack of hard plastic though makes it less sturdy against pressure and physical abuse. I've had it for 6 months and it's lived in my pocket for 12+ hours a day 6-7 days a week. The pressure seems to have tweaked the USB connector and the connection to the computer is intermittant and has to be held in the right way to connect.

Seems to be an issue with the design type in general. I've killed 2 Corsairs this way and thought Patriot would have a better design, but it seems not.

Pros: We've bought a few now (people keep losing theirs) for our company's design department and now just about the whole team is using this drive. Fast and rugged. Good for the amount of transporting we do.

Cons: Not as fast as the Team 3.0 that I personally use. But they like it.

Other Thoughts: The design team wants no other drive. They had used the 2.0 versions in the past and have happily replaced those (when lost - yeah lost) with these newer models. Would buy again.

Pros: Cheap. Sturdy.
Slightly smaller than earlier Xporters.

Cons: Slow. Compared to other USB 3.0 fobs, testing with HDTach, bonnie++ and palimpsest, this one is slower than usual. Don't expect much more than USB 2.0 speeds, and for random writes, not even that. Not well suited for ReadyBoost.
The capacity is 14.7 GB, or around 0.2 GB less than their red USB 2.0 model.
The cap is very prone to falling off. You may want to use a rubber band to keep it in place.

Other Thoughts: Earlier Xporter products came with a cap with a much tighter fit. About two years ago, something changed, and the caps now fall off quite easily.
The Xporters also aren't like they once were. Earlier, they were SLC, and came with both an extension cable and a lanyard. First, they became MLC (slower writes, less longevity than SLC), then the lanyard went, then the extension cable and leaflet - now you get nothing except a blister pack.

Pros: Its ok

Cons: Not that fast Mushkin Enhanced Ventura is faster!
