1 out of 5 eggsWorst USB Drive Ever

Pros: Worked well for a short time

Cons: The only USB drive that I ever had that completely died on me. Kept crashing when I tried to format it. Threw it in the trash and will never buy another Patriot product.

Other Thoughts: Never had a USB drive die like this one did!

3 out of 5 eggsWorked Eventually

Pros: Not a bad price and a good metal body. Technical support is very fast and good @ what they do. See other thoughts for the complete story.

Cons: This drive has very low write speeds - I tested it on multiple PC's and it averaged only about 2.5mbps write speed. The first drive i received failed out during the initial file transfer - I RMA'd it and received a new one... that worked for all of 10 mins before doing the same thing. Patriot Technical support was helpful and the problem was resolved w/o another RMA.

Other Thoughts: Ok, I see a lot of people had the exact same issue I did - really slow, Transfers failing, & the drive not being detected. After I received my second bad drive - I contacted Patriot directly. Their support responded within an hour. They have a tool that is available when you open a support ticket, that low level formats the drive and fixes the issues! It's still slow - about 2.5mbps write speed - but it completed multiple 20gb transfers flawlessly. I'll update this if circumstances change.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT WASTE MONEY

Pros: Absolutely none

Cons: Horrible device. So horrible I haven't had it even a day, and I already felt the need to write a review. I've had to reformat twice now in the 2hours i've had this drive. It constantly crashes during file transfer(for no reason) which was already frustratingly slow. Have tried multiple other flash drives it is definitely this drives fault. Not even the price is a pro considering I have yet to be able to use this Piece of junk even once. Asking for a refund doubt it'll happen. Guys please save your money.

Other Thoughts: Horrible product from a horrible company.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsHalfway DOA Drive

Pros: Free Anger, Free fustraton, Free hair pulling

Cons: Keeps asking to re-format drive everytime it is plugged in.
Halfway Dead Zombie drive.

Other Thoughts: Just bought this drive and it angered me off so much I have to write a review. Tried other drives off the same capacity in the same usb2.0 port, and the same amount of data of close to 30gb takes 4 times as long on this drive to complete transfer. Was comparing with a Sandisk drive.

When I try to transfer 30gb of data, it will transfer half of it and will take 3 hours for the midway point - and then it will ask to re-format the drive. Cannot add more files to this drive even if selected individual files, keeps asking to re-format. I can access the files that have partially transferred, but then I remove it and replug it back into the USB port and it askes to re-format the whole drive.

I have tried to recopy and reformat the drive as FAT32 three times and it still does the same thing. Wates my whole day.

At first I thought maybe it was my computer, but I bought a Sandisk drive of the same 32gb capacity and the same USB2.0, but the Sandisk had no issues. The fustrating thing is that this Patriot drive does not appear to be DeadOnArrival or defective, that is until you are almost finished filling up the drive halfway that it will crash, causing you to lose hours and hours of transferring.

I'm not trusting Patriot brand drives anymore because of this.

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy, it will die!

Pros: None, the drive was dead out of the box, this was a replacement drive which was also dead (would corrupt files and lock up).

Cons: I just get tired of dealing with the RMA process and shipping back a drive to Newegg. I understand that this is part of the process and while I am happy with Neweggs customer service I am just annoyed at the length and extra cost of the process.

Other Thoughts: I have two Patriot 16gb flash drives and have used them almost every day for 2 years and havent had a problem with them. This particular drive however was dead

1 out of 5 eggsFollow up on this Patriot Flash drive

Pros: Still cheap

Cons: Got Newegg to replace and only to get the same flash drive having the same issues again and as some of the previous reviews, it locks up, can't format, when you do format it, it becomes unreadable, it gives error when trying to delete data, windows states can't write to it as it has been alter, etc, etc...just a poor product and Newegg should have not tried to replace it after knowing the issues us customers were having! This is my first RMA and i have been buying from Newegg for over 6yrs without any issues.

Other Thoughts: None

1 out of 5 eggs2x Faulty

Pros: Unfortunately none.

Cons: Order 2 of these drives. Both fail during file transfers, corrupting all data on the drives and report they must be formatted (again). I've had good luck with Patriot before however. Would not recommend these drives.
