Pros: Pros: I got these at the same time I picked up my Mobo (Asus p8z77-v pro). Asus' QVL is not up-to-date and these were not on it, but the Patriot site said they would work. I worried a tad about that, but they work perfectly.

I was also worried about 1 or both sticks being DOA. I ran Memtest (both together and each separately for 8-12 hours) without a single error.


Some reviews of various RAM I read complained/commented the RAM registered as 1333 instead of 1600 on install. I didn't have that problem. The first time I fired up the new system the mobo had the RAM set with the proper timing, speed, and voltage.


For what it's worth, it scores a 7.8 on WEI.

Pros: Great ram for the price. I already have two 8 gig sticks of this stuff i purchased from somewhere else to upgrade my pc then recently built a new one and bought two 8 gig sticks to make 32 gigs...this stuff is great...runs well and can be overclocked.

Cons: unfortunately i was noobish and forgot windows 7 home premium only supports up to 16 gigs so now i have to go buy windows 7 ultimate in order to support the 32 gigs i have. I was always led to believe 64bit could support much more...but thats where i noobed up.

Other Thoughts: 1600mhz is still high end gaming ram...most motherboards seem to like 1600mhz-1866 mhz ram the best. if you want to super future proof go higher mhz but this stuff will do you justice for a very long time.

Other Thoughts: Like anyone who experienced buying RAM, some will not come working. Out of the packaged one was not working. I put both in and encountered a blue screen. Took them both out, replaced with my old Ram to make sure my computer was fine, and it was. Individually put in the new RAM, one worked and one didn't. I've waited more than a week, due to the holidays, for the RAM. I don't want to go through the hassle of shipping it back and waiting another week or so for it, so I guess I'll just be stuck with the 8gb. Had both worked out of the box I would have given it a 5egg, still good for what it is though.

Pros: Fast RAM and now I can game and run virtual machines no interference memory wise

Cons: That I can't fill it all
