5 out of 5 eggsAlternate Timing Sets

Pros: This RAM is decent for the price!

Cons: Patriot's employees seem to be too stupid to take the extra time to set their memory and write all possible speed profiles into the XMP.

Other Thoughts: I spent 2 days manually finding all of the stable timing sets for this kit to work with the current generation of Intel's Memory Controller specifications (1.5v + or - 5%) (1.425v - 1.575v). @Patriot Memory, you lazy people really need to make this information publicly available and learn how to write multiple timing sets into your XMP!

The stock timing set is:
2133 MHz @ 11-11-11-30-2T or 11-11-11-27-2T, 1.500v (depending on your temperatures)
This timing is incredibly slow and annoying. I think it serves as more of a "happy medium" since it's being marketed as 1.5v in order to meet a middle ground.

Well, I only really tested for the 1.575v sets since I don't plan on running the RAM at JADAC profiles for 1.425v, but I can tell you that the stock JADAC timing set for 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24-2T will run fine as low as 1.35v.

The following sets are for 1.575v max, or 1.558v in the BIOS of my MSI Z77 board (it peaks at 1.575v under load tests in XTU):

2133 MHz @ 10-11-10-34-2T, 1.575v
1866 MHz @ 9-10-9-28-2T, 1.575v
1600 MHz @ 8-9-8-27-2T, 1.575v

That's as tight as I could get the timing with those frequencies, all the way down to increments of 1 causing a boot loop if I pushed it too far. I am using memory coolers, by the way. I have no idea if that helps at all, but I highly recommend memory coolers especially when you're running custom timing sets. Enjoy! ^__^

5 out of 5 eggsgreat ram great overclocking

Pros: purring away at 2400 Mhz, game great and are not bad in video editing either. its an extremely fast 16 gig kit for alot less that what the competition is offering

Cons: heat spreaders may be too tall for some air coolers.

Other Thoughts: defeats the purpose of downloading ram

5 out of 5 eggsThis stuff is awesome!

Pros: There are many timing sets to choose from with XMP 1.3 if your motherboard supports it.

Cons: none for me

Other Thoughts: The XMP 1.3 profiles for this quad-module kit use 1.5 Volt timing sets of 1066MHz@6-6-6-14-16-2T, 1333MHz@7-7-7-17-20-2T, 1600MHz@9-9-9-21-24-2T, 1866MHz@10-10-10-24-28-2T, and 2133MHz@11-11-11-27-32-2T.

5 out of 5 eggsHidden Gem

Pros: 2133 ram at 1.5v for a great price

This is one of the best sets I have found. Im really surprised it only has 4 other reviews. It does everything you need.

Running MaxxMem2 1.99 I get
MemCopy: 24605 Mbytes/s
MemRead: 23334 Mbytes/s
MemWrite: 21135 Mbytes/s

Reached Memscore: 22.24 GB/s
Mem Latency: 56.7 ns

This is just running in a Asrock extreme6 with 3570k oc to 4.2 ghz.

No insane heatsinks! Nice sleek looking heatsinks on them, semi low profile.

Cons: Loose timings. They aren't the greatest at 11-11-11-27 but the value of the speed is > timings

Not enough people have bought this kit

Other Thoughts: Im really surprised that gskills and vengeance are the brands that everyone go for. If people did some research, they would find a kit like this. Excellent value. When I switch over to X79 with 3930k, im going to order another kit!

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Dissapointing

Cons: Not much to say...DOA. I'll give them one more chance with an RMA.

Other Thoughts: I purchased all my parts through Newegg. I'd like this company to be aware that its because of their failure, my new rig is not working...everything else worked perfect except this RAM. In this day and age, we're used to DOA technology, but I want to note my frustration for the record. I spent 1.5k on this new unit and because of their inability to manufacture workable parts, none of it is usable. Like I said, I'll give them one more chance.

Manufacturer Response:

I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues with getting the memory to work. I'll be glad to assist you with the RMA. Please e-mail me:

5 out of 5 eggsPrice/Performance King!

Pros: This is an amazing kit for the price. 16GB of low-voltage, DDR3 RAM factory-tested at 2133MHz for under $100? Sign me up!

I bought this kit for my 1155 build and it has worked flawlessly. All four DIMMs ran at their rated specs without a hitch, and they're ridiculously fast.

Out of the box, my kit scored: 22.5 GB/s Copy, 23 GB/s Read and 19 GB/s Write in Maxxmem2, along with a 7.9 in Windows 7's WEI. Stock.

The heat-spreaders are sleek and stylish without looking gaudy, and the black PCB helps them mesh with almost any color scheme. They're also low profile, so there shouldn't be any clearance issues using larger air coolers with them.

And to top it all off they run on only 1.5v, meaning they stay cool and play nicely with the integrated memory controllers on Intel's Sandy and Ivy Bridge processors.

Cons: The timings are a little loose compared to more expensive kits, but that's not really a con if you're on a modern Intel platform. Socket 1155 and 2011 CPUs benefit much, much more from raw speed/bandwidth than low cas latency.

Still, with a stock DRAM voltage of only 1.5v, there's plenty of wiggle room to overvolt them and tighten the timings a bit if you really want.

Other Thoughts: Even though this kit is guaranteed to run at their listed specs, not all CPUs and motherboards can support 4GB DIMMs at 2133MHz. So definitely check your motherboard's QVL before buying. Even if they are supported, you may have to manually set them up in your BIOS to reach the rated speeds.

My Z68 board recognized them as 1600 c9 by default and wouldn't run them above 1866 c10 using the standard XMP profiles, but manually entering the frequency and timings (2133, 11-11-11-27 2T) worked like a charm.

This is my first time using Patriot in a high end build and I couldn't be happier. This kit performs in league with RAM that costs 2-3x the price, and looks good while doing it.

They've definitely won me over.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks As Advertised! ^_^

Pros: Everything works as advertised. The memory runs cool. The speed and voltage is 100% accurate. You can run it at 2133, and 1.5 volts is plenty! I am not seeing any problems, at all, with my i7-2700k running at 4.4 GHz. All memory tests pass without any errors (Memtest86+, Intel XTU, and me trying to physically overload it with multiple tasks).

Cons: None, but 1.35 volts at this speed would have been heavenly! ^_^

Other Thoughts: In case you're wondering, the SPD rating for this memory defaults to 1600 MHz with 9-9-9-24-2T and 1.5 volts. From my experience with RAM in the past, I assume this memory could be underclocked and undervolted for lower speeds, given that it can handle 1600 - 2133 Mhz with the same 1.5 volt requirement for all 4 DIMM's.

I have not personally tested any other speeds or voltages with this kit because I am more than happy with the speed. I run it with a Zalman RC-1000 RAM Cooler (on the higher height setting) which still has a small amount of clearance room to spare above the heatsinks.

If you are using this memory with an air-cooled processor, I would suggest one of Cooler Master's direct contact coolers with adjustable fan heights (TX-3, 212, and 212+).

Ignore CPU-Z currently reporting the timing wrong (shows command rate of 3T instead of 2T). The motherboards loads XMP 1.3 with a command rate of 2T at the advertised speed and voltage.
