2 out of 5 eggsSomething not "write" with this

Pros: Case, style, size, speed--just like everybody says. I even like the dimmer led and smallish keyring hole (perfect for a zip tie)

Cons: Indicated capacity is 32GB, but reports "disk full" after 8GB.

Other Thoughts: Just using the drive as is--original formatting. But can't put more than 8GB on it; says "disk full". Maybe I'm missing something, but likely I have to return it.

4 out of 5 eggsgood flash drive

Pros: bought on sale. so far drive performs well and hasn't given me any problems or hiccups. I haven't benchmarked the performance, but it's faster than my USB 2.0 flash drives.

Cons: The slide in/out USB port connector isn't my favorite, but I've seen far worse designs, so can't really complain too much. I would just rather have a USB port covered so no dirt or dust gets in, and this slide in still leaves it open to get dirt inside.

Other Thoughts: Good value overall. I would recommend it, especially if it is on sale.

4 out of 5 eggsFast, design problematic, styling douchy

Pros: Fast

Solid capacity

Activity LED

Cons: Next to useless keyring design

Styling a bit douchy

Activity LED dimmer than Courtney Stodden

Other Thoughts: Fast transfers, good capacity, but the hole for the keyring is TERRIBLE. It is too small to accommodate a typical keyring, and small keyrings can't work because they curve too tightly to fit the depth of the opening. It is like removing a xenomorph - you'll kill it putting a keyring on. I eventually had to use a piece of straight wire looped through. Talk about home brew...

Not sure what Supersonic RAGE has to do with storing files on USB, but the styling is not a plus. It screams "mom's basement".

In a room lit to any usable standard, the activity LED is unobservable. In the dark it is flashing away. Be nice to actually see the LED. I don't want to light the room with it, but what is the point of having one that only works in the dark?

Still an overall upgrade from the Datatraveler 111 which is a totally buttspawn drive.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Performs at normal USB 3.0 speeds as expected. No cap to lose, and slider mechanism seems solid enough. Activity LED is not too bright.

Cons: Too thick to plug in anything alongside it, if you have USB ports which are right next to each other.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Flash Drive

Pros: Great price after rebate. It's fast and it works at advertised speed.

Cons: Could be slimmer.

Other Thoughts: Thank you Patriot for not fudging the numbers.

3 out of 5 eggsFast, but not to spec

Pros: This is a nice USB for the money, but I am a tad disappointed in the USB 3.0 speed.

Cons: I have both the Rage 64MB USB 2.0 (red) and the Rage 64MB USB 3.0 (blue). This USB 3.0 unit is faster, but not near at the spec advertized. I tested on a Mid 2012 Mac Book Air using Magic SpeedTest.

USB 2.0 version: 12MB/s Write, 35MB/s Read
USB 3.0 version: 22MB/s Write, 90MB/s Read

Internal Mac 2012 Air SSD: 390MB/s Write and 450MB/s Read

Other Thoughts: The slide cover is very nice, but after a few months of use of the similar 2.0 model, the cover friction no long held the cover open or closed, it slides too easily, and is essentially useless, but fun to play with.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Flash Drive

Pros: Let me start by saying I have only tried it on USB 2.0 and it does a very good job maxing out the bandwidth at around 30mb/s reads and 25 mb/s writes. USB 2.0 is still on most computers so for me this is more important for the time being. That being said Patriot typically under value their speeds so the 180 mb/s reads will probably be easy to get. Very good quality and the sliding cap design really works well. It is also fairly small but wide.

Cons: One of the big reasons I bought the drive was for its durability. I thought it was going to have really strong ABS plastic with a thick rubber coating around it. It is stronger than the average Joe flash drive but don't think it is military grade stuff. I did drop on accident going down the stairs so I will say it is probably shock proof but with a good amount of force you could bend it in half.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a very fast USB 2.0 drive, and it has the promise to be one of the fastest USB 3.0 drives at least when it comes to reads. The durability is still fairly good. It does seem like it is shock proof and would take a lot of weight to crush. FAT 32 does drop performance slightly down just for the fact it is inferior. Use NTFS primarily unless you need the drive for a PS3.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid 3.0 Flash Drive

Pros: Fast, built to last, amazing speed right out of the packaging, 32gb, great speed and capacity for the money, small size, no cap!

Cons: The only cons I can think of is it has no light (does not bother me) and it had a small hole on the top maybe for a lanyard, but it def wont fit on a key chain!

Other Thoughts: Great flash drive, I did A LOT of homework before I got my first 3.0 flash drive, this was the best choice I felt I have made and it will suit me well! 32gb for this price and performance is a steal!
