Pros: I use this thing all the time for bios upgrades or moving files. I would buy another one today, if it was to stop working on me. Patriot has a large capacity and a cool rubber cap and body that protects it so you can just throw it in your pocket and not worry about it.

Other Thoughts: Patriot Supersonic Boost XT 256GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model PEF256GSBUSB. Why did I buy this item? I'd have to say because it's bigger. The drive actually has 230GB of storage capacity. This is based on each of four drives I've bought. Speed is close to what is claimed by the manufacturer although your results may vary based upon your operating system. The drives all came formatted as FAT32 but they can be formatted to NTFS or whatever you like. The drive meets expectations. I paid $68, a good drop in the price as of this date, 02/12/2016. There are other 256GB drives coming out that are even cheaper. Good for the buyer! :) My recommendation? If you have data that requires this sized storage in a USB flash drive, this one won't break the bank. it's a good deal.

Other Thoughts: I bought this without looking close enough at the read/write speeds. The drive seems like it is going to last a while and is very well protected with the rubber case, but it is slow. Didn't remove any eggs for it being slow because it performs a little better than its spec'd. I get 32 MB/s to 35 MB/s write speeds, just like I should. I just wish I would have went with a faster drive, seems like I bought one of the slowest high capacity USB 3.0 drives available.

Pros: Your math seems to be a bit off. To obtain 256GB total from 32GB drives would require you to purchase eight 32GB drives, not four. Consequently, it is a much better deal than you have stated.

Pros: Wow, rubberized exterior - no worries about dropping the thing; extremely fast - compared it to my teacher's thumbdrive during video-editing class tonight, and my same exported file transfered 3 ~ times faster to the Patriot; 256 Gigabytes - what is there to complain about?

Cons: Only thing I wish they'd implemented was some kind of attachment for the cover, so you never have to worry about your cap getting lost - but I'm sure it's something I could jerry-rig. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever!

Other Thoughts: Extremely cooperative between both mac and windows OSs - and we're talking default formatting here. No ex-fat or anything else required in order to use; just comes ready to go straight out of the box. Can't say more about its reliability, durability or effectiveness - just plain rocks. Great value

Pros: Impressed with the small size and rubber case. It is too big to use two at once even at the back of a desktop where the ports are very close.

USB 3.0 transfer speeds easily exceed 100 MB/s down.

I am very happy.

Cons: $ / Gb it is not competitive. You are paying a premium price for the sexiness of 256Gb in one stick.

It would be much cheaper to buy 4x 32 Gb sticks on sale for $16 each.

Pros: High capacity, I have the 128GB version.
