The Rosewill RSD-CR102 card reader plugs into your USB port, and doubles as a thumb drive. The reader handles SD and MMC media out of the box, and can also handle miniSD, microSD, and MMC micro media, with optional adapter. The unit is USB-powered, so there's no power cord, and is USB 2.0 compliant. Supports Windows 2000, ME, and XP operating systems, and Mac OS 9.1 and OS X. Lid is thoughtfully attached to the body by a cord, so you won’t have to worry about losing it!

Using SD media, the reader can transfer data at rates up to 18.5 MBps. With the RSD-CR102, you don't need to carry separate devices to read your camera memory, and transport data; this one tiny unit does it all!

  • newegg Support for SD and MMC The ultra-portable Rosewill RSD-CR102 card reader features great compatibility with the SD and MMC card family (an adapter is needed for miniSD, microSD and MMCmicro cards).

5 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: Works simple, easy to use, good gift for those not-so tech savvy.

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: while there is a lot of technology in terms of card readers and the price continues to drop, people seem to still drift a lot towards USB, making this a good product.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works with my Transcend 8GB SDHC.

Cons: Casing is a little flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Got this so I can read the SDHC I use in my EEE. Works as intended.

5 out of 5 eggsShort and Simple

Pros: Pretty solid. Neat little slider to help the cards go in and out.

Cons: Not very pretty.

Other Thoughts: I was going to give this four stars, but only because the adapter isn't very "cool" looking. But it works fine. Basic black isn't so bad, really.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Small, ATTACHED Cap, WORKS GREAT. Just put a card in (any size with proper adapter) and plug it in. Worked GREAT from the first use. No problems. I use this to grab pictures off my micro SD card I use in my Verizon cell phone. Great way to get pictures on and off phone without paying Verizon for every one.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I just love that the cap is tethered. Don't have to worry about losing it somewhere.

Pros: It reads the 8 Gb A Data SDHC I have.

Cons: The SD card fits in real tight and is annoyingly hard to get out.

Other Thoughts: It needs a spring action.

2 out of 5 eggsExcellent External Design, Possible flaw inside

Pros: very smooth for the pocket. Cap stays tethered to drive when in use. I thought it was an excellent alternateve to the standard keychain drive.

Cons: after 2 days, I threw away the packaging....and then the reader got very HOT. When it cooled, it was dead. It could be a fluke because it looks like there are many happy users here.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks and cheap

Pros: What can I say. It does what it suppose to do! I bought this primarily for SDHC reading.

Cons: A bit bulky when plugging it into USB slots with tight spaces.

Other Thoughts: I bought this 4 months ago when the price was still $5.99. I see that the price has gone up!
