Other Thoughts: This worked fine for a month or two. Now it won't read any media.

Pros: Inexpensive, transfers data quickly

Cons: Hard to align and insert Compact Flash card. Pins bent over

Other Thoughts: Worked well for inexpensive hardware until the pins bent over due to CF slot not aligned well. I am very glad I did not damage the CF card itself. I would choose a different reader if I had known the potential problem experienced. Rosewill has a good reputation but this item doesn't stand up to their normal quality.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I bought it to import raw files from my Nikon DSLR, not too long after I installed it, I constantly received Windows event ID 11 and my computer would randomly froze for 10 -15 seconds, I googled for solutions and replaced SATA cables, power supply unit, and eventually the motherboard, none fixed the problem until one day I unplugged this piece of Rosewill craap, my computer is now running very smoothly, no event ID 11 or random freezes anymore.

Other Thoughts: The reader simulates HDD for CF card, however, their design / hardware / driver is flawed and not compatible with Windows 7.

Pros: None that I can think of

Cons: This thing never did work right. I just ignored it when it quit working 3 months after I bought it. I thought for the price it was not worth sending back. Recently I started having issues with other usb devices and traced it back to this Not so good hardware. I unplugged it from the motherboard and all my usb issues went away. I doubt I will ever buy anything with the Rosewill name on it again.

Other Thoughts: No Eggs for this one. I don't blame Newegg for this. Newegg is the best place to buy computer parts!

Pros: Looks nice and the technical support was quick to provide a replacement and eventual refund of my money.

Cons: Not much to say. This is the second Rosewill card reader I have purchased. The first one worked once. Got a replacement and... guess what? It worked once. Now, every time I start my computer I get an error message saying I have unknown hardware. I can get it to work only by un-installing the device, shutting down the computer, un-plugging the device, re-starting my computer, then shutting it down, re-installing the device and re-starting. Then it only works until I shut down the computer, then the problem resurfaces. What a pain.

Pros: cheaper than most

Cons: does not work after a month

Pros: 40 in 1, great deal!

Super cheap price, good bargain.

Does what is intended and is simple to set up

Cons: I won't knock off an egg, but for buyers who don't pay attention/ignore these small details, you need an adapter if you wish for this to fit snugly and properly

Also won't knock off an egg, just personal preference: Wish the cable was a little longer so I could make it fit neater. Decent length, works with my full tower, just can't wrap it in the way I want it to look.

Other Thoughts: I really wish this came with a drive bay converter! I hate having to buy random adapter parts that basically cost as much as item I'm trying to fit. For a piece of plastic, it costed me $8 to get this to properly fit as I didn't have a spare one.

Overall, if you already have a drive bay converter sitting around or don't care that it's hanging, this is a really good bargain.
