5 out of 5 eggsMushkin Flash Drive

Pros: Fast transfers , this is the fastest flash drive i ever used aside from USB 3. The drive is recognized quickly by my computer. Will buy another 2.

Cons: Not sure if this is a con, the plastic cover is very easy to loose.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST for the Price. Buy it!! You'll br glad you did!!

Pros: Small & Slim but NOT Tiny. Nice "Depression" in the case for your thumb & side of forefinger to get a hold of it.

Can easily put two of these side by or on top of each other without one pushing on the other.

In Windows 7 32bit with a SSD I get "Real World" transfer speeds of 21mbs writing and 24mbs reading while transferring a 4.9GB MKV video file.

ATTO benched it at 22mbs write average and 27mbs average read.

USB Flash Bench had it at 18mbs write and 24.9mbs read average.

Give the cap a good push at the end and it SNAPS into place nice & tight.

Nice SMALL Lime Green activity light that can be seen whether the drive is upside down or right side up. No annoying HUGE FLASH of light illuminating the entire room like some Flash Drives have.

It feels solid enough to me. It's just a small thumb drive after all. It's a feels more sturdy than other Thumb drives I own.

Time is money to me and this drive cuts my file transfer time down by 25 to 75% compared to the other Flash Sticks I have.

Cons: This drive may slow down on it's WRITE speed over time. Like a few years. But the READ speed seems to hold up. (See Other Thoughts for explanation.)

Other Thoughts: I bought a USED 32GB Mushkin Mulholland before getting this NEW 16GB one. The used 32GB was/is only getting around 14mbs write & 24mbs reads on average with the 4.9GB file transfer. Which is still pretty good compared to most Thumb Drives out there.

I don't know how old the 32GB stick is or how much it was used.

Hence my thinking it may slow down over time. I've found other reviews making note of the slow down after a few years as well.

I tried formatting in it exFAT, FAT32, and NTFS. Tried different sector sizes as well to get the write speeds up. No luck though.

So, since I use Windows 7 boxes in my Network I just format ALL my USB Sticks to default NTFS & 4096 bytes per sector. This is the format that they were in when the above speed readings were taken.

I would suggest you buy these drives NEW and not used if want their highest speed potential.

This drive comes from the factory formatted by default in FAT32 512bytes per sector.

This works WELL in my xBox 360 as also.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat before it fell apart

Pros: Had great transfer speeds and worked perfectly with my Xbox 360

Cons: Case just fell apart after about a year. I don't even carry it around, just went to unplug from my computer and it seemed like the case just came unglued or something.

Other Thoughts: I didn't think to try and replace this within the 2 years so it's outside its warranty. Mine may have just been a fluke but it definitely did not feel like the most solid drive out there.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST!

Pros: This thing is incredibly fast. I have gotten write speeds above 20mbps.

Cons: none as of yet, besides the generic feel..

Other Thoughts: It feels generic, but it runs so fast and so far reliably.

5 out of 5 eggsworth it

Pros: fast writes, fast reads, formats NTFS, sturdy construction (my wife tries to kill it every now and then), distinct shape easily recognizable by feel (so it can be selected in the pocket without looking), reliable in that Windows has never needed to run check disk and try to recover files, cap fits snug, no trouble booting a system off it

Cons: price hasn't dropped on this in almost two years, however, its quality goods

Other Thoughts: my favorite flash drive and the one I use to put files that MUST be preserved no matter what

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: It's fast
I somehow managed to bend it (After 2 years of carrying it around and using it) and it still works perfectly, even after bending it back.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I always carry it around with me, and the fact that it has survived this amazes me. The first flash drive I have that hasn't died after 2 years of use.

5 out of 5 eggsThis one

Pros: Fastest thumb drive i have ever owned!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: like the fact that it doesn't slide out, or fold or anything that might break and is more gimmick than practicality.

5 out of 5 eggsBest USB 2.0 Drive, EVER

Pros: Works flawlessly at read/write speeds that I have never achieved on any other USB drive.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The device is incredibly small, so it fits anywhere. This also makes it easy to lose. Look at it how you wish.

The only thing I would change is the protective cap. Very tiny, clear and no means of attaching it to the USB itself. Needless to say, I lost mine after about a year.

Overall, absolutely the best USB drive I've ever used. I've now owned it for over two years and it still outperforms my other USB 2.0 devices.
