2 out of 5 eggs1 stick DOA

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: was supposed to work with the Optiplex GX620 I was upgrading

Cons: 1 bad stick, system would not boot if this stick was either the only one or added with working stick.

Other Thoughts: Mushkin used to be a good solid brand but reviews I read tonight show quality has gone downhill. Won't buy anything with their name on it again.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: Heat spreaders, and Mushkin quality.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I bought this Memory for an old PC I ‘m running Windows 10 Technical preview on. I plugged it in and it ran without a hitch. I saw other memory sticks cheaper, but Mushkin has a good Reputation and it comes with heat spreaders. I’m glad I did. It works great.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing Mushkin.

3 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: MOST of the sticks worked. Slid in and worked amazingly for the most part. The 3 sticks in my clients old workstation are doing well. I can see the difference in it from 512mb definitely.

Cons: One of the modules did not work and was doa. From a better company like mushkin that I have used before, I expected more. For me this was something that should have not happened. I've heard many sad things about this company but most reviews on this were positive.

Other Thoughts: For 3 out of 4 sticks working I would say going with this ram is decently reliable but still a gamble because I've heard many others say that only 1 of 2 or 3 of 4 work. They need better quality control. Going through the rma service now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: you know you have quality when factory ram clicks in clunky and new ram is smooth as silk to install. attention to detail. Used this to replace old ram in an old Dell.speed increase was so much more then factory. Customer may even upgrade further because of the performance.

Cons: price was a little high but ram prices are high now.

Other Thoughts: anyone looking to keep an old PC a little longer this is a good deal. I really think we can get 3 more years of use out of this old P4 before its set to rest. running windows 7 next upgrade needs to be the video.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory For The Price

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: Can't beat this memory for the price. Nice sleek look with the heat spreader. Definitely gives that "upgraded" look. I use these for upgrading Intel Core 2 PC's with Windows 7 Installs and I can't be more please with the performance to price ratio.

Cons: absolutely none. Have had none of these arrive DOA or fail on me.

Other Thoughts: Like the title says, great memory for the price. I will continue to use these in my upgrade projects as long as the price stays where it is or continues to drive down. I am very please with how these perform.

5 out of 5 eggsGood memory!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: though I usually buy Patriot ram, Ive bought Muskin memory both this DDR2 and DDR3 and never had a issue with it. Runs great for basic systems, cool and looks nice and fits in virtually all motherboards.

Cons: Not the best heatspreaders out there. Therye not bad either-they keep everything cool under normal settings, but I wouldn't be odoing much overclocking with them. (I dont overclock anyway)

Other Thoughts: I bought this set to upgrade an old lenova setup I had given to me for my wife, fit inside the tight case and ran fine. I also have a set of DDR3 of this brand I keep on hand as spare parts for my other computer and for troubleshooting customer systems. Like I said I normally use patriot for all my performance stuff-but I really cant argue about the price/performance of this stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 996756

Pros: Heat Spreaders, can't beat the price. No problems so far.

Cons: The only problem I encountered was installing the module backwards in the slot. Most other memory has the sticker on the longer side of the notch. This has the sticker on the back side on the shorter side. Installing in a DELL is always pretty tight to begin with.

Other Thoughts: I installed this in my DELL OptiPlex 755 Core2Duo E8400 3.0Ghz. Though I should have bought the DDR2 800Mhz version. It works fine for the time being. Now I can expand to 8Gb total RAM.
