5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works at advertised speeds out of the box.
Decently quick.
Nice aesthetic with tiny tiny ridges in the shiny aluminum of the heat spreader. Hard to see from the website pics.

Cons: Heatspreader looks different than my old kit of silverline of the same spec to which this was added. Not really a con since I don't have a window on my mid-tower.

Other Thoughts: If you have a kit of older Silverline 4GB DDR3 1333, these are NOT identical. My setup uses a 3x4GB kit from a little over a year ago, and I was wrong to assume these are the exact same chips. The difference is the appearance of the heatspreader. Still works, in dual-channel, and my mobo sees the full 16 GB at rated speed in addition to my VRAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGood.

Pros: Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought a 3-channel kit using these DIMMs a few years ago. I just bought this 4th stick to use in a new SB system to give me 16GB of RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Ram for the price.

Pros: Very inexpensive. Started with 4gb, now I am up to 12gb. As soon as Newegg restocks, I will get the last 4gb my system can handle. This price makes it very easy to upgrade to 16gb without breaking the bank.

Cons: May not be top of the line, but definitely worth the price.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for budget or otherwise

Pros: This is a dependable module for a decent price (got it on sale). I'm glad the RAM market is saturated, the prices are reflecting it pretty nicely as of late. I used this RAM in a budget build for a customer. Used a MicroATX board with two DIMMs, and he has 4GB with room to expand, which is nice. Dual channel isn't a big deal on internet/IM/Email machines, so this worked great. The heatsink is attractive, and is attached reliably.

Cons: I wish the PCB was another color. Black, in particular.

Other Thoughts: Computer parts are iffy to me. There is RAM that is marketed as budget oriented, then there's RAM marketed as performance. While I do understand there is a "technical" difference in the chips used, it is arbitrary at best. The RAM is the same except for clocks and heatsinks, but the price certainly isn't the same.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Lord, our BSOD Savior

Pros: I was smacking my blocky bald head at the old BSODed LCD screen after I newbishly paired a GA-890GPA-UD3H with a sexy-sapphire-clad dual-channel 2x2GB *******1600 kit. With each failed configuration attempt, with each resultant BSOD, I came ever closer to cracking the plastic shield, letting ooze all that precious, rainbowy liquid crystal.

Well, this Mushkin stick saved the day. No BSOD when plugged into slot #2. BSOD in slot #1, but who cares about nitpick slot #1 anyway?

More Pros:
The heatsink looks sleek despite feeling flimsy.
At 1333, it's still decently fast.
Mushkin has a wonderful forum... a nice place to get technical support and a nice place to chill.

Cons: Never got my Black Friday rebate back... $30(I think), I could get another 4 Gigs with that nowadays... Well, next time Patriot/Kingston, then it's fair game again.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings!

Please contact me at nick@mushkin.com and I will see if I can help track down your rebate.

Thanks!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good!

Pros: Does what it should. Plug and play. Stays pretty cool. Running in an itx build, so I'm not overclocking it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Running with AsRock H67M-ITX and I5 2400

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: The price and the quality.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have been using crucial memories for years and they are great, but in the past few years i have been giving Mushkin memories a chance and i cou,d not be more satisfied. I now have 16GB of this ram on my main rig.
