INNOVATION AT ITS CORE.

What if? Two simple words. But when combined, the possibilities are endless. At Mushkin, we've stopped simply asking, "What if the impossible was possible," and started manufacturing it. This thought is at the core of every Mushkin Innovation. And it's led our engineers to develop everything from industry leading performance gaming memory to some of the most impressive storage technologies on the market. Try our innovations yourself and explore what's possible with Mushkin products.

MADE IN THE U.S.A.

Not many manufacturers can say they design, assemble and test their products in the U.S.A. But Mushkin has been making its products in the U.S.A. since its inception in 1994. That means, for more than 20 years, we have been uniting all aspects of performance to engineer something you can't get from a spec sheet.

Pros: Work as intended

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Just have to tweak a bit in the bios to make them run at 1600 easy as abc :)

4 out of 5 eggsGood memory for the price

Pros: - Fast
- Affordable
- Stylish looks

Cons: - First set had 1 module die after 1 month (see below)

Other Thoughts: Memory is memory, and provided it works stably at its rated speed, it's hard to make much distinction.

My first set had 1 module stop working just after Newegg's return policy ended. I don't hold this against Mushkin because this could happen with any brand. I returned the set to Muskhin after providing proof of purchase. Their customer service replied to me extremely quickly and was very polite and helpful. Once Mushkin received the RMA'd memory, their replacement was shipped overnight from Colorado to Toronto, Canada, which was an unexpected surprise. Quality of service with a product like memory is important and Mushkin's, based on this exchange, is exemplary.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking nicely.

Pros: Nice having 12 whole gigs of ram and not having to worry about managing programs when playing games or running 3DS Max or Photoshop.

Just popped them in my EVGA X58 board and they've been working perfectly since. No need to adjust anything in bios for now.

Stable with a mild overclock on my i7 920.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I had 6 gigs of Corsair XMS3 RAM installed and was hoping I could get those sticks to work with these new Mushkin ones, but did not purchase these with the expectation that it would. So far I cannot get Windows to recognize the 18 gigs with both sets, so I pulled the old sticks out. With some bios tweaking it may be possible, but I haven't dug into it yet. I don't really have a need for 18 gigs at the moment anyway. It'd just be an added bonus if I could manage to get them both working together.

1 out of 5 eggsMemory came DOA

Pros: None, other than the positive comments I've seen which made me decide to purchase this.

Cons: At least one of the 3 memory sticks came DOA. Average of 3-4 BlueScreen errors per day for about a week related to memory management. Couldn't even survive a MemTest longer than 10 seconds. I got fed up and had to RMA. I'm disappointed because the current memory I use is from Mushkin and had been working flawlessly. It's too bad they didn't QA their stuff well enough. I lost ~$10 shipping this back to Newegg using their UPS return labels.

5 out of 5 eggsMushkin All The Way!

Pros: Works flawlessly

Cons: not really too much of a problem, but see below.

Other Thoughts: Ram speed defaulted to 1333. Still running at that speed because I don't feel like messing with the settings right now. Also, forgot I was on an AMD dual channel motherboard. Not really much of a problem, just using 2 of the sticks until I buy another one.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram, cheap casing

Pros: 12 GB of ram for this cheap is a great deal.

Also looks pretty cool

Cons: One of the stick's casings fell off when I was taking it out of the case. The piece that held it on broke and I was not using excessive force, now I have 2 sticks of cool RAM and one plain looking green stick. Oh well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, Great price

Pros: Installed great without any need to mess around in the system. Plug and play.

Cons: Was a lot more expensive when I bought it.

Other Thoughts: Bought my first set of this RAM in January 2010 for a system I was building, and it was something like $900 (though it did come with a nice mobo). Now that it's 10% of the old price, I'll be buying a second set to let my comp sit comfortably at 24GB of RAM!
