5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: I've recently doubled my capacity to 16GB of this ram. It's fantastic. No issues at all and handles working in UDK, Photoshop, and Sony Vegas like a charm.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: I put this RAM in my GA-x48t-dq6 mother board. It rebooted twice and came up in defalt auto settings, but then I began manual timing settings and testing. The BIOS recognized all 8 GB of ram. I'm running dual boot XP/Win 7 x64; Win 7 recognized all 8 GB and XP only 3.5 GB (that was expected, had same with 4 GB). I have run this memory for 24 hour testing of MemTest and Prime 95 over a full month for 8 different timing profiles. I now have 8 different timing profiles to choose from; starting at 696 21@ 1338 to 797 23@1602. These are rock solid. I run the DDR3 voltage @ 1.63V, except the 797 23 @1602. It's at 1.68V and has to run at 1T -- won't pass MemTest test 5 on 2T. Puts new life into an x48 board.

Cons: Not really a con, but I was able to run my old OCZ Platinum 2x2GB at 555 15 1T&2T timing. The Mushkin won't go that low, computer will not POST at 555 15. I suspect that's due to the double amount of ram or it could be my board.

Other Thoughts: This is great ram! I even get CAS 7 now, the OCZ Platinums would not run stable at CAS 7. I bought this ram in December for $59.99. That's $40 less then what Newegg is asking for now. What ever mobo you put this RAM in, you will not be disapointed.

5 out of 5 eggsMiss matched ram. . .

Pros: In spite of the build I was putting together and the options I was left with, I was surprised to end up with a decent trouble free experience with this ram. I read the reviews and was scepticle but, newegg didn't have the ram I wanted which was 4x4x16 at 2000 mhz ram. So, I thought well why not buy 2, 2x4x16 at 2000 mhz instead. I read the warnings that on occasion this doesn't work. Well it doesn't run at 2000 mhz but that was do to a motherboard and processor selection, not the fault of the ram. The ram all posted, all 16 Gigs of it, at about 1600 mhz, so I do not fault Mushkin. Actually, I'm satisfied with the build. Two big thumbs up. . .

Cons: Does not post at 2000 mhz, but again, it's a motherboard and processor issue. I'm running a quad-core zambesi and I could upgrade to the 8-core and probly get more out of the ram as far as speed is concerned but not sure. . .

Other Thoughts: Really do your research before you get into a build or make some really expensive decisions you'll have to live with possibly. . .

1 out of 5 eggsUnstable at 2000, Only stable at 1333

Pros: It looks cool

Cons: Unstable at 2000. Runs at 1333 max. If I wanted 1333, I'd have bought 1333 for far less than 2000 costs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 and M4A89TD PRO/USB3

Pros: I purchased this set of memory (8Gb) for Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 and M4A89TD PRO/USB3 boards with AMD 945 & 955 black CPUs. Knowing 1600 was max speed for memory on these CPUs I purchased this 2000 rated memory because it was cheaper than case 7 1600 and with my use of Mushkin in the past I've always had a good experince with it and AMD boards. I was able to to run this memory at 1600, 7-9-7-27-40, 1.6625v rock solid stable.

Cons: None - Mushkin has always worked greate for and AMD.

Other Thoughts: AMD systems usually require manual setting of the memory timings and I've found x-x-x-27-40 are usually the most stable and compatible timings. Also for AMD you usually need to add .05v to .08v to the voltage for stability.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent and its all black!

Pros: Ridgeback heatsink that looks cool + is cool to the touch after getting it to overclock on 1.65V

have got it to 1800MHz, will be gunning for the 2000MHz range, though i hope my RE X48 can handle it.

Cons: XMP profile left my rig unable to recognize the settings, though thats my mobo's issue not really a con :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product!

Pros: Running at 9-11-9-26-37 @ 936MHz 1.65v and no problems.

Cons: The Ridgeback heatsinks might cause a problem if your CPU HS/F sticks over your memory slots as they are kinda tall.

5 out of 5 eggsQuit Flaming what you don't know

Pros: Intel XMP And AMD are 2 very different things ..... This memory is just that ...its memory rated to run at certain specs .... it defaults to run at a lower speed to accommodate all the different boards out there ....

Cons: There are none .... Its memory and when setup properly it will run as expected

Other Thoughts: For all you people saying that this in not supported by AMD, well you have no real life experience or skill in building Machines and you should really keep your comments to yourselves as people want real reviews and not your OPINION when you don't have a clue.

2 out of 5 eggsLost one out of 4

Pros: I liked the heat sink style and it was a little cheaper.

Cons: The mother board is a ASUS M5A88-V EVO. I had it set up in a RAID0 with two 1Tb drives with AMD 8core FX all cores actavaded The EVO program would not resond to the settings it would freze up. so I removed the program and reinstalled it and when I reboot the computer was running no boot up of BIOS (NOTHING). The memory light was on . memOK! button I checked one card at a time and found one ded memory card. I do not know if Actavating the 8 cores caus this or not. I removed the card and install the other three then I had boot up. every thing was fine. but I lost 4GB of memory.

Other Thoughts: I changed the cards to extreme team I hope I do not loose any memory cards.
