Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 999006

Pros: Was priced right, much cheaper than in past years. I upgraded the memory in desktop to accommodate virtual machines. It was very stable at the rated speed using XMP, which the Intel DX58SO motherboard easily detected using Intel Desktop Control Center, but there were other issues I will discuss in the cons section.

Cons: My Intel i7 920 would no longer overclock with the new memory @ 1600MHz. I had to run the CPU at stock clock to boot into windows. When I allowed IDCC to optimize overclocking settings (fast as possible, yet stable)......the best it could do after a 4 hour session was 3.2GHz and memory @ 1333MHz. Unacceptable. Previous 1333MHz memory allowed me to overclock up to 3.6GHz 100% stable. This led me to rethink my desktop design. Since I wanted USB 3 and SATA 3, I ditched the DX58SO mobo for an Asus Sabertooth x79 socket 2011 setup. Now I have my cake and eat it too.

Pros: The three sticks of ram at cas 7-9-8-24 did very well with the over clocked intell extreme 17 990x. Worked great with with all rendering and 3D apps. I'd recommend this product to anyone.
Looked great with the G.1 sniper mother board and corsair H100 water loop. it def. turned heads and made the machine look like a nuclear power plant. I'd buy again.

Cons: Five to six months in...Constant BSOD. Granted I worked the hell out of this ram and I always got what I needed, now it is sure putting a damper on Work. Switched them out with an older G.skill ripjaw ram that i had lying around. So One of the stick did go bad, I'm not upset things happen oh well. I'm going to run memtest over the weekend to see wich one is bad and call Mushkin to see if they can help me out.

Pros: Replaced 12gb of Mushkin 998805 with 24 gb of this and am amazed at the performance increase. Can open photoshop with a 10mb pic in under 2 seconds. Maxed out WEI score to 7.9 across the board. Would recommend to anyone considering upgrading.

Cons: As with the other person I had 2 of the heatspreaders come loose when inserting ram into the slots. Pulled them both back out and they looked fine, so just used dome rubber tipped tongs and slightly squeesed them back together when I put them back in.
Also, had to manually set the timings in my bios. Still ran great with what it was running at, but wanted to get the full potential out of it.

Other Thoughts: If you are putting off upgrading memory because you think it wont make that much difference, just do it. You will be happy you did.

Pros: Runs at spec, decently priced. Windows give the 2 sets i have a 7.6 with stock timing on the ram and the i7 920 stock..

Cons: Expected a lil higher Window Index score but maybe thats due to the timing or something I dont have set right in the bios..

Pros: great speed, great overclocking potential, great CAS latency, great voltage, great heat dissipation, great temps.

Cons: I opened the package of 3, I went to put in my 1st stick of ram and *kurchank* the heatsink on both sides came off the stick completely! I was able to see how it was put together by looking at the other sticks of ram, after some finagling I got it back together, I squeezed the sides of the heatsink so that it would actually stick to the ram.

Same thing happened on the 2nd stick as well.

I squeezed the heatsink before I even attempted the 3rd stick.

Other Thoughts: overall great preformance, I am not sure if it was a heating issue in transit or something to where the material got hot and melted off, it didn't look like anything was wrong with it when it fell off at all. After squeezing the heatsink on the ram everything worked fine. temp's are also great. I would recommend this product but just be wherry of the heatsink before installing because it's not attached very well.

Pros: This memory is fast and stable I'm using to overclock my Intel i7 960 to 4.8GHz and I'm not even pushing it.

Cons: Doesn't match my motherboard
