2 out of 5 eggsgood for year

Pros: I have used this drive off and on for the last year. Yesterday it came up corrupted and no matter what you do it says it is in use and cannot be written too, which means it cannot be formatted. So other than a partial library of what was already on it. this drive is dead.

Cons: Died in a year or so, no way to recover it.

Other Thoughts: I took a chance on an unknown brand and I paid the price. Such is life.

5 out of 5 eggsBest USB key for price/size

Pros: Fast. Very close to rated speeds for usb 3.0. Will not disappoint. Faster than similar but cheaper adata usb 3 drives that I own (same size and rated speed) although USB 2.0 speeds are similar (which are pretty good themselves).

Cons: None. Better brand than adata

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Works Well

Pros: It's a USB Thumb Drive, it's really straight forward how it works. I get great speeds on all the Mac's I've used it with that have USB3, MUCH MUCH faster then a USB2 drive. On that note, you can max out USB2 connections as well with it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It's a solid little drive.

5 out of 5 eggsnice drive

Pros: using ntfs
windows shows a write speed hovering around 95-100MB/s when writing a 3GB file and peaked at 120MB/s, when reading the same large file and writing it to my ssd windows shows 185-200MB/s. crystal disk mark says 70-80MB/s sequential write and 170-180MB/s read

the drive isn't over sized and looks nicer than a normal plastic flash drive

Cons: has a normal cap, so if you put a lanyard or something on the back you can't put the cap on

4 out of 5 eggsFast read, not so fast write

Pros: 64GB
Nice feel
Cap fits securely on the back
Fast read speeds
Indicator light isn't too bright

Cons: Write speeds are slower than advertised

Other Thoughts: As stated, the write speed is slower than advertised. So far, I haven't been able to write at any more than about 30MB/s. For me, this isn't a big deal since I load it up with a lot of stuff once and then generally don't write to it again very often.

I am also getting read speeds a bit higher than what was advertised. Typically anywhere from 120MB/s to 150MB/s for reading large files.

Since my situation is suited for faster read speeds, I am okay with it being a bit slower write in exchange for a bit faster read. Thus, I've only deducted 1 egg.

Overall, the quality feels very good. The cap fits securely on the end, and I don't think I need to worry about it falling off. And it is 64GB. Not much else to say.

1 out of 5 eggsSuper fast when it works!

Pros: This is, by far, the fastest flash drive I have ever used.

Cons: This is, by far, the most unreliable flash drive I have ever used.
First one was DOA right out of the package. Second one died after only 2.5 months.
Third times a charm? I hope.

5 out of 5 eggsSpeeder

Pros: Noticeably faster than my other USB Flash drives I own.

Cons: The cap does not grip the drive very tightly. This is one of the easiest ones to put on and off making it easy to loose.

Other Thoughts: Overall I like it. I use it in a variety of computers USB 2 & 3. It works very well for me

5 out of 5 eggsSPEED EXPLANATION

Pros: Great product. Affordable, quality and speed.

SPEED EXPLANATION:

1- Advertised speed rating for flash drive is always for SEQUENTIAL transfer (1 big large file). This drive does 204 MB/s on sequential read and 71 MB/s on sequential write according to Crystal Disk Mark, witch is fantastic. That's with the drive 65% full.

2- File system don't perform the same depending of the scenario. FAT32 is usually faster overall, but limited to 4 GB file size. exFAT is the modern successor of FAT32 and is optimized for flash. Perform similarity to FAT32, but less compatible with older OS. NTFS has more features, but usually perform less than the 2 other as it is better suited for for hard drives.

3- Not all controllers perform the same. Drivers are critical with USB 3. Get the latest one directly from the USB controller manufacturer website, not the outdated one on your motherboard website.

4- Flash technology is inherently slow on small random read and write, no mater the brand/model of your drive. Still, this drive is by far a lot less slower for small files transfer than any other flash drive I've owned. Don't make the mistake of transferring hundreds or thousands of KB or few MB sized files and then complaining the drive writes at 15MB/s and therefor doesn't meet the advertised specs...

Copying 15 GB worth of large ISO to/from this drive is super fast and still has very respectable speed for smaller files.

Cons: None, really. I would buy again.

Other Thoughts: This drive meet the challenge of being the fastest of the cheapest 64 GB USB 3 flash drive available now. Cheaper drives exist, but wont match this drive speed. Faster drives exist, but you need a second mortgage on your house to get one. The value is excellent.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid drive with reasonable performance

Pros: Lots of storage and acceptable speed

Cons: Speed didn't live up to advertised values on my system

Other Thoughts: I've had this flash drive for a couple of weeks now. So far, there haven't been any issues with reliability. I formatted the drive with an NTFS file system as recommended in other reviews. I'm using this drive with an ASUS RT-AC66U router to provide network storage for music and other media files. It works flawlessly with the router. My only (minor) complaint is that the write speed to the drive peaked out at around 25 MB/s instead of the advertised 70 MB/s when copying music files to the drive. I did not do any testing to determine if performance improves if I change formats, block sizes, or the type of content being written to the drive.

3 out of 5 eggsSlow USB 3.0

Pros: Large Storage,
Speed not as Ad said.

Cons: Sub par on speed I have 2 others of ADATA and PNY both 64GB USB 3 and they check out 100% Read & Write faster than Mushkin Ventua Pro 64GB.

Other Thoughts: Anyone looking for a slow speed USB 3 Flash Drive buy Mushkin Ventura Pro 64GB I have one ForSale.
