1 out of 5 eggsFaulty product

Pros: fast during the few weeks it worked

Cons: I totally forgot to review this back in the day but seeing as this is still being sold I felt compelled to let interested shoppers know that this thing lasted me a month. If it manages to get detected during a Windows installation, I would get a swift blue screen of death upon trying to even reach the Windows log in screen.

Other Thoughts: There are so many better options out there these days so just save your money. From the looks of it, forgetting to RMA was a good thing since others reported getting broken drives back and having their time wasted.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: It is what it says and performed just fine.

Cons: I bought the darn thing with a 1-year warranty. Hardly 3 months after that the drive failed and now sits collecting dust in my computer.

I bought an expensive hard drive at the wrong time.

5 out of 5 eggsMushkin 60GB SSD

Pros: inexpensive. fast. easy to install. Transfer rates are pretty close to what's advertised. Win 7 boots up < 10 seconds. And it's stable.

Cons: It's on the small side, but it's plenty for just booting up your OS.

Other Thoughts: I have this one in my MC and I have the 120 version in my main computer. I am actually happier with this one than the 120. the 120 was a bit flaky, and I had to RMA it. Even now, every time something "weird" happens, I still want to blame the 120. But the 60 in the MC is rock solid. I am a Mushkin guy, I have Mushkin RAM in all my devices in house that I can cram it in. I was a bit dismayed with the 120, but the 60 GB is gold. As of this review it is out of stock, hopefully Newegg will acquire more.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks great while it works

Pros: Very fast! Support use to be good, it's changed recently thou. Super fast in raid!

Cons: 3 drives have failed. Mushkin now requires you to pay for the device before they will ship you a new one. Then they will refund your money. Or you can ship them your drive and wait 3 weeks to get your other drive!

Other Thoughts: I'd pick a different brand, their customer service has gone down hill, and 3 bad drives out of 4.. cmon!

Cons: When I'm a game menu or java app the drive is making a little noise, it is the only bad point for this cheap drive!

1 out of 5 eggsdied after a few months

Pros: Worked out of the box and was used on a small firewall.

Cons: failed randomly one day with io errors to specific files.

Other Thoughts: IO speeds and IOPS not really a concern.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Company

Pros: In handling feels just as solid as any other higher priced drive in this class. Very fast, of course. Mushkin needs more fans, they do a bang up job and don't seem to get a lot of credit. High quality parts from a high quality company.

Cons: None. At the price I got it for, wicked fast drive, not a lot of space but it didn't need the space.

Other Thoughts: Go Mushkin, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsLightning fast!

Pros: I use this drive on my work machine (a dual core Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @ 2.6 GHz w/3GB DDR2 800), running Linux with XFCE, and I'm up and running in about 7 seconds!

I haven't installed any MSFT O/S on it; and probably never will.

Came with a mounting bracket - very nice!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: 60 GB is *more* than sufficient to run an o/s; and since I never keep data on my o/s drive (lesson learned), I could easily re-partition and dual boot with Win7Pro64.

5 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: Cheap, works

Cons: 2.5 to 3.5 adapter needed minor modding for Antec Sonata drive tray

Other Thoughts: Installed in a 6yo Antec Sonata case with Athlon X2/3GHz on a MSI 7549 MB to upgrade from WinXP to Win7. Boots 32 bit Home premium 2 users in less than 30 seconds. Well over 30 Mbs left after OS and programs installed.
