2 out of 5 eggsSpend a little more, it's worth it.

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model 996769

Pros: Affordable.

Cons: Looks 'affordable'.

Other Thoughts: Occasionally blue screened for the first few weeks, annoying bust mostly worked... then went bad on me just after 30 day return period had expired. Bought some Corsair Vengeance sticks instead and they had no errors at all. Spend a little more for better quality RAM, and you'll be glad you did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for the price

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model 996769

Pros: Great RAM for the price. Wouldn't expect anything else from mushkin.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Running with a FX 6100 and gigabyte 6770 on windows 8 and so far everything's good. Not looking to overclock anything right now so it does what is needed and more.

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model 996769

Pros: Works as advertised. No problems to report whatsoever.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: So far no issues to report. Put this in a msi board with amd 6100 and a gigabyte 6770. Wasn't looking to overclock anything.

3 out of 5 eggsmediocre

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model 996769

Pros: low cost.
good name in ram.

Cons: came up with errors.
no heat spreaders.

Other Thoughts: had these in a biostar a770e3 and win7x64 installed fine, but after a few days installing programs and tweaking the system, there were freezes and blue screens. i was able to set the system to run the ram at 1066, which has seemed to stablize everything, but these are supposed to run at 1333. no doubt there is one or both stix won't make it through a memtest run at full speed without error, but waiting till different ram to come in and confirm these are the problem before set up rma.

4 out of 5 eggs1 of 4 DOA for me

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model 996769

Pros: Really fast and really inexpensive. SPD properly configures modules with all advertised specs, including timings and voltage.

Cons: One module in the first pair I received was bad. Unfortunately, if you purchase as a pair you have to return as a pair, so my new home server was out of commission for over a week while waiting for a replacement. Replacement modules both worked great, passing rigorous memtest86 testing without errors.

Other Thoughts: Cost me an extra ~$5 and lots of waiting because of the return. Newegg made it up to me though, as there was a free 4GB flash drive surprise gift with the second pair. How cool is that?
