5 out of 5 eggsPerfect! No Complaints

Pros: fast and efficient. Great price!

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: When I was building my current PC I chose this RAM for the price and the ratings. So far I have not been disappointed. The machine uses an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS with a AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo). I have never used more than 25% of RAM when gaming. I would highly recommend this RAM!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat... then meh...

Pros: 16 Gb, got them when they were $80... cheap for 16Gb at the time (DEC 2011)

Originally, when I booted with the default settings I BSOD'd immediately. Almost RMA'd these suckers, but upon testing them with a higher voltage and slightly higher timings I fixed the problem. Now I I do everything from video editing in linux to playing games in Win 7 with hardly no problems...

Cons: But to the problems...

Sometimes my BIOS does not want to boot - giving me the option to default back to original settings or to manually change bios settings... I find that the memory settings are usually set back to default, rather than my settings. I always change them to what I know works, let it reboot, and the problem seems to go away...

One DIMM has since begun to fail... I think... About 2 months ago WIN7 only registered 3 DIMMs, i.e. 12Gb, I rebooted and it was back up registering 16Gb... Again, I do some intensive work on my Computer, but once I boot into an OS all video editing and programming flows smoothly... What can I say??? Maybe I have a bad stick, and maybe it's something else....
