1 out of 5 eggsDied within 2 years

Pros: Fastest DDR3 1600 Clocks @ the time of purchase for the money. 7-7-7-24.

They quit making this model RAM!

Cons: One module (in slot #2) so bad, computer will not boot when it was the only one in the machine.
Slot #1 Module had over 40,000 errors on Memtest86.

Other Thoughts: Lifetime warranty only good for ORIGINAL Purchaser!!! AND MUST have 'Proof-of-Purchase' to get RMA

1 out of 5 eggsFailures

Pros: They work on auto-setting

Cons: They wont go anywhere near what they were advertised as in Timings or Cas Latency. Instant blue screen and memtest failure. I can see why these were discontinued. Just wish I wouldn't of fell for the timings. Won't be buying from Mushkin again.

Other Thoughts: Do the research before reading fancy things and buying on impulse.

2 out of 5 eggsDOES NOT perform as advertised.

Pros: It's reasonably priced ram even though it fails to meet the listed specs. But if I wanted slow ram I would have gotten something cheaper

Cons: 100% will not perform as advertised. Several people seem to have had luck with it so I don't know if mine are defective or if the other reviewers didn't know how to verify their speeds properly.

Other Thoughts: 7-7-7-24 whether I use XMP profile or not - 1.65 volts - no post and a automatic bios reset as if i was trying to overclock it.
same settings with 1.68 volts got me into windows with occasional blue screens.
8-8-8-24 latency blue screens less but still blue screens. Finally stable if I upped voltage to 1.7
Sooo... in order to get the advertised specs I would have to push at probably 1.75 volts or more and add aftermarket cooling. I could do the same thing with cheap memory.

I havn't decided if I'm going to return it or just burn it up forcing it to run at the speeds I was promised.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: Fast memory for a good price, fantastic customer service.

Cons: One of the sticks was DOA though this wasn't too bad. While disappointing I know it happens sometimes. After contacting Mushkin to resolve this I was very impressed to see a replacement module on my doorstep the next day!

Other Thoughts: Mushkin is a brand that I started using just recently. Despite one of the modules being DOA the technical support I received was fantastic and didn't subtract from the rating.

5 out of 5 eggsMushkin 7 CAS is the standard for gamers

Pros: Very fast ram and makes every game better than before. CAS 7-7-7-24 is very important for gamers like me. The lower the better.

Cons: Heat shield came off second stick which was being heald together by thermal grease of some sort but I just put the shield back on and it stayed SO DONT touch the shield and only touch the ends. As one person stated your computer MIGHT (even after updating bios) want to underclock this to a 1465mhz and a latency of 9-9-9-24 instead of 1600mhz 7-7-7-24 CAS and so you MIGHT need to clock it to the 1.65v and not the 1.5V standard detection. This is NOT over clocking as the ram was meant to run at 1.65v

Other Thoughts: Super happy with mushkin. I have been drooling over redline memory for a long time now.

5 out of 5 eggsPhenom 980

Pros: 2nd review. Tried in an AM3+ GA-970A-UD3 Mobo with a Phenom 980 just to see if it would work as advertised. It does. It autodetected at 1600 (this was a suprise, because other brands have failed in this same mobo.) I set voltages and timings as per CPU-Z XMH profile, plus 1T command. Now, although WEI scored the same (7.5) as 2x4=8GB DDR3 1333 generic 2T 9.9.9.24 it showed substantial improvement in MaxxMem in every category except memory write, which was essentially the same. I'm not into OC. Don't know if real world performance would be noticable. Bottom line this is an upgrade.

Cons: None except heatsinks are not bonded to module and can slide, but not easily. Just realign if need be.

5 out of 5 eggsLlano AMD

Pros: Mobo Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H CPU FM1 APU 3870. It auto detected 1600. Set timings at XMP Speed in CPU-Z information (same as EesyTune6 info) 7-7-7-24 trC 31 and then manually set command timing 1T, and voltage set 1.65V. WEI 7.5. I tried everything left auto, 1600MHZ 11-11-11-28 39 1T 1.5V. Then WEI 7.4. MaxxMem an Pasmark mirrored performance gains.

Cons: I was hoping for higher RAM scores than my Phenom 980 on a GA-970 board with 4x2GB 1333MHZ, but it to gives 7.5. I don't know why the score is not higher with the faster RAM. I compared results in Passmark, and MaxxMem with little gain over the AM3 system.

Other Thoughts: Maybe Llano just doesn't score as high in memory tests as Phenom. Anyway, this memory is flawless. Runs as advertised.
