5 out of 5 eggsAwesome SSD

Pros: Great Read/Write Speeds
Actual Speeds close to "up to" speeds
Reliability
Getting 8 second boot times in Windows 8

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: It took me a while to get it working. (At no fault but my own) If you plan to clone your old HDD to this, use Macrium! Trust me, I tried many others and nothing worked. I can see where some would think they got a bad drive. It is not all that easy to clone a HDD to a SSD. Don't give up, it works!

1 out of 5 eggsDied

Pros: Worked great for six months.

Cons: BSOD at month 7
Disk check showed bad sectors
Ran three tests on drive - all came back the same...bad disk

Other Thoughts: Submitted for RMA - better get one with the Toshiba NAND instead of the Micro....read other reviews. (it will show that the chips are bad on the drive)

1 out of 5 eggsDELUXE IS FAR-FAR WAY

Pros: none

Cons: Initially I was hoping to receive this mSata with Toshiba NANDs and was very Disappointed to receive with Micron chips. Immediately I request RMA number for return from Newegg. Muschkin replaced the Toshiba Premium Toggle NANDs with completely different Micron Asynchronous NANDs with almost double failure rating comparable to Toshiba. The question to Mushkin is what for DX (Delixe) stand’s for and why this change was made so Silently and why there is no any indication abou it on the model number or part number. Definitely Mishkin changed their manufacturing part number, but they kept the same Product with only reason not to inform the Buyers who like to pay high premium rate for premium product.

Other Thoughts: I ran ATTO Disk Benchmark test which is the same used by Mushkin, and CrystalDiskMark - another well-known test application. The results are indeed close to the original SSD with Toshiba chips results and done by Les Tokar.
Micron memory chips defiantly are slower comparable to Toshiba. This difference is huge for 4K and lower size tests –about 50% for both Read and Write.
Any ways I decided to keep this mSATA SSD, because I don’t think Toshiba version is available any more.
The Mushkin Memory Chips on this mSata are 2JA28NW289
By the way I sent 2 emails to Mushkin for more tehnical information about this change, but never got any respond from them, Never! Not a nice treating for the loyal customers!

1 out of 5 eggsNot for Samsung Series 9

Pros: None

Cons: Does not work with Samsung Series 9

Other Thoughts: I bought this for use in a Samsung Series 9 (NP900X4C-A01US). I found that every time I woke my system from sleep, Windows 7 would blue-screen. I tried reinstalling Windows with all of Samsung's latest drivers from scratch, and the same problem persisted. I ended up using Crucial's CT256M4SSD3 instead, which has had zero problems after 2 months of heavy, daily use.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent drive to save laptop weight.

Pros: Random read/write performance is excellent.
Works great in Lenovo Ivy Bridge laptops.
Full SATA-3 speeds for reads in some situations.
Saves noticable weight versus even a normal SSD, let alone any HDD.
In many laptops, allows for an SSD OS drive, plus dual HDDs for storage for road-warrior use.

Cons: Unable to break SATA-2 speeds for writes.
No included software to handle overprovisioning.
No included software to handle migration.

Other Thoughts: For the many laptops that have dual-SATA3 internal bays, but the mSATA slot is only SATA2, this SSD is ideal.

Especially if you're going to reinstall from scratch, this drive is excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Great.

Pros: Fast, boots my Lenovo Y480 in about 7 seconds from a cold boot to Windows 8.

Cons: Crucial website to list memory as compatible with the Lenovo Y480. Had me scratching my head went troubleshooting.

Other Thoughts: Took me many hours to finally get OS on the Msata. Hard drive needs to be formated first. Imaging reovery to Msata failed miserably. Simple solution was to get the window 8 RT 64bit DVD. Install to mSata, then reintroduce the regular hdd. Works great.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper fast

Pros: Super fast and fits in mSata plug on MB, saving regular sata slots

Cons: Wish it was cheaper

Other Thoughts: Using with Shuttle SZ77R5 case/mb/ps. Boot times are incredibly quick with both Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.

5 out of 5 eggsinsane speed

Pros: -extremely fast
-lightweight
-low power consumption
-big for ssd

Cons: -no screws included (not sure this is there fault though just thought it needed to be mentioned)

Other Thoughts: Lets my msi ge60 0nd-042us boot in 16s from completely off to usable desktop. programs load almost instantly still can't believe how quick it is. seems very stable to me no BSOD or random failure to boots. think it would boot faster if i didn't have a second ssd in the laptop.

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE - shipping Micron

Pros: Fast shipping, great service from Newegg.

Cons: Ships with Micron memory NOT Toshiba memory (at least, mine did) - Toshiba is faster more reliable Toggle NAND Flash (and is what is in the product picture, AND every product review of the Atlas Deluxe). Micron is Asynchronous NAND Flash. Micron, for example, is what is used in the slower, higher failure rate (and cheaper) Crucial M4 SSD.

Other Thoughts: I checked before even removing it from the package, Newegg had a shipping label and RMA number in my email in less than 5 minutes - with this item being a strict NO REFUND item, I was worried, however Newegg went above and beyond as always. Very satisfied Newegg customer, very DISSATISFIED Mushkin customer. Mushkin - I realize most people won't realize you are shipping an inferior product, however you should be ashamed at the deception.
