5 out of 5 eggsExcellent ram but not cheap

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997070

Pros: Been purchasing memory from Newegg from the first Intel duel core days and wanted to try out something a bit more exotic than the bargain priced brands. Went with Mushkin this time and I am NOT disappointed. These were so good I installed them on a very old old P6X58D Asus which is an extremely temperamental motherboard with it's triple channel slots. Plug and play success.what more can I say

Cons: Not cheap but then Mushkin memory has never been. Delivery this time was from Los Angeles which I bummed me out having to wait for delivery unlike the Newegg Secaucus warehouse which almost always is next day delivery provided I order before 10am the prior day

Other Thoughts: Extremely well packaged and even wrapped in bubble packaging...

5 out of 5 eggsReally fast and stable!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997070

Pros: Very fast ram.
Rock solid stability even with the 10-10-10-27 timings.
The heat spreaders look really cool :)

Cons: My motherboard will not detect the trimmings automatically. I had to go into the bios to manually set the timings. Not a huge issue, but something to be aware of.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997070

Pros: Popped these babies in and enabled the XMP profile in my Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H motherboard's BIOS, and awayyyy we go. No problems at all.

Cons: Not really a con, but I wish the heatsink was just a smidge shorter.

5 out of 5 eggs1866 on Sandy Bridge i5

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997070

Pros: Bought these as a speed upgrade for my i5-2500 that was originally built with 1600. Now that these are available in 16GB kits - I had to get a set.

Cons: Had to bump up the voltage a bit. Wouldn't run at 1866 on default voltage.

Other Thoughts: Really helps my i5-2500k since I overclock to 4.1GHz (41x). I can tell the difference already.
