4 out of 5 eggsGood upper-mid range memory

Pros: Large, cool (temp, and the red fins are OK too), X.M.P. support for overclocking (but tough w/ Haswell). Decent price on sale. Made in USA.

Cons: "Only" 1866.

Other Thoughts: Bought 32M for digital imaging workstation, modest OC. 24.8GB/s @ 1866; 27.2 GB/s OC (Sandra Agg Mem).

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great but check your product carfully on arrival

Pros: 3 of the 4 sticks I purchased perform flawlessly.

Cons: I learned a hard lesson about looking over contact pins before installing into my motherboard. Usually I am more detailed but this last time I was complacent and didn't inspect the memmory. One contact had a small ball of solder on it. When I installed this Redline in P9X79 motherboard it folded the motherboards pin a bit and functioned normally as it still had contact. (no idea there was a problem) Well this week I did a rebuild on the computer and re-installed the Memmory. Only 28 gigs showed up. I removed the sticks and saw the deformed pin had been crushed fully to the bottom of the slot and when I tried to pull it back up.. it broke off. So much for quad channel on that MB. I am replacing both the MB bad memmory stick. From our mistakes we learn...

3 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: Worked great for about a month. I still have one stick that works.

Cons: Been getting bsod the last couple of weeks thought it was my cfx set up at first but after ruling it out I started testing he ram. First stick failed in less than a few seconds. Second is fine and is actually running my computer right now.

Other Thoughts: I bought this on a few recommendations as well as the fact that it is an American company and gave a lifetime warranty I hope I can get it exchanged quickly.

4 out of 5 eggsSeems solid

Pros: Very cool big, heavy heatsinks with a nice look to them. Solidly put together, appears to be quality hardware. So far no problems with compatibility with my Biostar Micro ATX board. Memory seems fast.

Cons: Difficult to determine the proper settings. Factory set these at 1.6V, CAS latency 11 and 1600 Mhz. I had serious instability until I reconfigured to the specs listed in the product description (1.5V, CAS 10, 1866 Mhz). Not uncommon with "performance" RAM to need to be tweaked a bit to function properly. Not sure if I have hit the sweet spot yet but I will keep tweaking.

Other Thoughts: I'll try to report back after I've had these in my system a while. The last "performance" RAM I ordered for my old system (from Crucial), all 4 sticks died in the period of a few months. That RAM was recommended 1.8V so maybe the sticks just couldn't handle it, or maybe it was my board - who knows. Hopefully this RAM will last.

4 out of 5 eggsMushkin Enhanced Redline Ridgeback Model 997071

Pros: Excellent Heatsinks well attached these are some of the better ones I have seen as of late! Pricing is ok. Compatibility is excellent! Mushking put together a NICE PACKAGE OF RAM!! Way to go Mushkin!!

Cons: A little slower in the Win Exp thing compared to what I had in there.

Other Thoughts: Had 4x4gb sticks of some more name brand ram in my Sabertooth AMD board and raised voltage to 1.65 V like it said but kept blue screen at random times with 8150 bulldozer changed to 8350 Vishera had same problem ram rates at 2000 ran at 1866 who know figured it was due to 2 diff sets of ram back timing down and it worked. Installed this new ram and though timings were a little slower it runs perfectly at advertised Speeds have ran Mushkin before but haven't in awhile. Try some you'll like it I'm Sure!!
